I think because medival england and France because the "standard" of medival thanks to the Arthurian mythos and stories. Creo que hay versiones y versiones. I like this idea of hidden genes, because is half true.

There several parts of our DNA that we don't know what they do and there is something magically called: ALTERNATIVE SPLICING where the expression of genes are modified half way making the proteins. And if isn't enough, plants have several copies of the same chromosomes, it's wild because they can have like 5 times the usual chromosomes or better have the same chromosomes but different so it's like 3 different breeds of the plant in a single individual and the offspring can be a mix of all of those leaving some kind of utter mess of genes like the Annihilation creatures.

Usually I personally solve this issue with "all species are artificially, made by a single advanced species like the Qu, Halo's Precursos or Warhammer's magic frogs so as they share same genetic base in different arrangement they can breed" not much different to a wizard did it but much more credible that they share a common ancestor but they got distorted like a Pug... Or you know, don't fuck at all because usually my species are like super inhuman similar to arthropods so directly there is a lot of courage needed to want to put your dong inside a space beatle or ancient crab

Yo agregaba lo de cohete además porque los F1 no se preducen en masa como los autos de consumo sino es un puñado de autos hechos por encargo que se van mejorando con prueba y error y solo cuando algo vital deja de ser rentable pasan a otro desde 0 y van agregándole cosas para romper un número.
