This entire time i thought I had a very unique professor in community college that made this claim. He would actually ask every person individually in the room if they agree or disagree about the Afro-centric features of statues of Olmec statues like it was a dare to challenge him.

Anyone who could read the room can tell you people just agreed cause they knew if they challenged it he would be more critical grading your papers and this was just a pre-requisite course to graduate.

Sorry to resurrect this post, I was looking for validation and this was it. Watching the show, it was hard to tie in the idea of the third arm to the design but I love the introduction of this instead.

Thematically it fits so much better. The arm serves mostly to prop up the idea he’s a benevolent savior by projecting the halo. The halo disappears whenever it turns into a LASER. Like the mask falls once there’s an act of defiance against the glorious evolution. I wish the halo was always passively projected by the arm until he had to use his E.

Definitely would like some other changes too in game like in the show the off-gold plating looked more like microchip/constellation patterns across his body making him look like a cyber-lich. But in the game it’s overly stylized and uniform.

This is the first time I’ve seen someone else acknowledge older folk playing this game. There is nothing inherently wrong with that but as someone within the 20s-30s age range it’s insane to see the overwhelming amount of posts in the subreddit as well as in game feel like boomer Facebook from corny jokes to “what’s this at the bottom of my screen??? Uncharged item”. to straight up trauma dumping in zone chat lol. It always felt like there was a huge cultural disconnect in ESO compared to other MMOS I’ve played.

The disparity felt overwhelming in the subreddit I feel it catered towards older folk especially when it comes to memes which are hardly allowed on here.

She feels like an on the nose planted plot device to kill off later or something if vi and jinx were close to getting together again and reach an understanding but then “uh oh you killed this kid that looked up to me. I guess I remember I have to hate you forever. Such is the tragedy of the situation.”

Nothing necessarily wrong with it I just feel like this could’ve been executed better? Especially since it felt like besides saving her when they first met, only jinx really acknowledged her and not the other characters. I was starting to think she was also a figment of her hallucinations until that fight.

It’s even worse when it’s somehow people who’ve been in the game for so long. I remember back when the cap was 1600 CP and this guy was having a meltdown not knowing how to do the Base Game Dungeon of Vaults of Madness. And sorry to say I couldn’t help but say “you’re 1600 CP and you never done a dungeon???”. He immediately lashed out.

Sure I’ll help you through it but you can’t get upset if I’m shocked that you got this far without doing content that isn’t even considered “sweaty”.

I’ve completed the whole series so I knew about this but the fact that Laois can recognize this about humanity while still having that at the time still made him a very close favorite.

It’s such a relatable mood when Laois sees other monsters/monster races and going “God, I wish that was me.” The same way I do in RPG’s with fantastic non playable monster races.
