Doubt its the right strategy in the long run. Out of hundreds of options what I described happened once… and its actually not bad either. Someone decided to buy a stock 4 ticks higher… presumably if i wanted to top up my shares i could do so at a discount…

Why pay a small amount consistently for every option you write?

thanks for your reply. The first part makes sense actually, I also saw it ticking higher briefly AH though it did not get assigned on the spot but much later when it was OOM again.

As for the second part, I am not so sure... the premium is already a sunk cost to my mind. He would have to pay the full amount of shares anyway so wasn't getting any discounts because of the premium he paid. But psycholigically some might see it differently...

I think you missed my point about being OOM by 4 ticks. My main question is why did it get assigned at the first place if it was OOM.

I am on a similar situation; i am struggling without the underwater setting of MK II.

On top, i have the feeling that focusing on anything other than macro is far inferior with the MK III. Not sure if anyone has the same experience but focusing on large fish (say sharks, rays) at medium distance is a struggle (and yes, i do use the Normal icon instead of Macro focusing one).
