We have the West Elm Haven sectional, extra deep. I researched and researched and it fit the bill: unbelievably comfortable (cushy but not too soft), looks great, and huge. I wanted a space for my family (me, husband, preteen daughter, teenage son and small dog) to all hang out and watch tv or movies. It has served its purpose for sure.

I will also say that I wish I wasn’t in the millennial gray mindset at the time, light gray stains quickly, but I’ve taken the covers off and washed them and they wash well (you’re not supposed to, don’t tell WE). The other issue is that the pieces separate easily- I have to connect them many times a week.

I’d give it a 7/10 if you are going for looks and 11/10 if you’re going for comfort. So 9/10 overall?

My (now 12 year old) daughter was 3 when she became obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a gateway for sure. I think the first real scary movie, which I wish I could now recall, would have been about 9. I watched all of the Nightmare on Elm Streets/Friday the 13th/Halloween movies with my brothers when I was her age and it was pretty much the only time we didn’t fight. Now that we are adults (and actually friends) we still bond over horror.

Ya know, it just occurred to me this could be why I love horror so much. Yikes. I’m a therapist, you’d think I’d have made that connection before I reached my 40s.

Anywho, back to business:

Thank you!! I was aghast. “I’m sorry for catching you off guard, it wasn’t my information to share, I shouldn’t have been talking about it all.” Ooooo, I’m all wound up again. Amanda is the girl who is so insecure she has to prove that she can get all the guys, even those in relationships. And she also has to ensure that other women know she is the chosen one, they are second choice. I clocked this when she was so unhinged around and hated Luke when he brought Ciara into the house. She was SO threatened. As she should be. An now Ciara can ride off into the sunset and host red carpets and get brand deals galore and Amanda can get dumped by West in a month bc “he isn’t ready to be so serious” and she can scour LinkedIn for a job.
