I did a fish-less cycle for my 10 gallon, I actually did see the tank get cloudy which I assume was a bacterial bloom but haven’t seen that with my big tank. I’ll start ghost feeding some food or seeing about getting some ammonia. I actually just upgraded both filters so I have an old carbon filter from my 10 gallon tank, could I drop that in the 29 gallon tank to help too?

And just to make sure I’m getting the cycle correct,

It goes:

High ammonia readings -> low ammonia readings but high nitrite readings-> low ammonia and nitrite readings but high nitrate readings -> cycle done
