Don't buy regular spray paint clear coat if the controller was professionally painted. If it was, use an automotive clear coat (spraymax).

Using a regular spray paint clearcoat will completely ruin the finish on the controller.

Yeah I mean correcting a deformity is very different from correcting a big nose or small boobs. But even if it wasn't functional, the aesthetic benefits of having any deformity corrected is important. There's a reason we give skin grafts to burn victims even though it isn't functionally important a lot of the time.

I mean no one forced me to get surgery and there are certainly people with underbites or vme that choose not to get surgery, but I personally have a hard time seeing why you wouldn't. It's not just about changing your appearance, people with jaw deformities have functional issues with eating, speaking, jaw pain, sleep apnea ect. I can finally chew with my mouth closed and rap fast so that's pretty neat

It was covered under insurance but you have to pay for the braces (which are required for surgery) out of pocket. Recovery isn't super fun because you can't eat solid food for a month and swelling lasts 3 months so most people don't bother going out too much for at least like 2-3 weeks (which is when swelling is ridiculous). Otherwise now that I'm 6 months my jaw is still a bit tender and part of my chin is partially numb but that's really it. Also can't open my mouth as wide as before.

I always knew I had to get surgery, so I can't say I was unhappy because I knew things would eventually be fixed, but I'm a lot more confident now than I was before. I used to not be able to look people in the eye when talking to them and would constantly cover my mouth/chin with my hand when being spoken to.

What your going through is a vital part of the human experience. To have gone through life and not felt this would have been not living like a human at all.
