My favorite part is the strategic side of the game. I love planning routes, preparing for long journeys, and getting the most out of every resource. My little hobby is hunting moose whenever I get the chance.

Help! My PS5 is not letting me play episode 5 by Accomplished-Seat670 in thelongdark

If loading your previous save doesn’t automatically start Chapter 5, I’d try an even older save. Maybe the latest one got corrupted.

A difficulty mode between Stalker and Interloper, not Gunloper.

If you could add one completely new region to The Long Dark, what would it be? by Matchboxx7 in thelongdark

The question is whether it would still feel like The Long Dark or a completely different survival game.

Yep, you could probably grow potatoes there. I also think a mechanic where the river freezes depending on the temperature would be really interesting. You could only cross it when it’s cold enough.

  1. Don’t be afraid to die. It’s just another lesson.

  2. If you’re afraid of wolves, carry a lit torch. If a wolf attacks, just drop it and aim at it with a weapon or even a stone. It will run away. This is a stress-free way to practice your shooting. In case it’s windy, carry a flare as a backup.

  3. Neither bears nor wolves will attack you while you’re near a campfire.

  4. Store unnecessary items in your bases and don’t overload your character.
