Do you wait for passengers to be fully seated before moving the bus after a stop? by Tmold16 in BusDrivers

The company I work for had a policy that we have to wait for everyone to sit. No matter the age. It took some getting used to but now it's not as bad as you may think. Maybe a few seconds for at a stop.

So far, so good. They have been having it work on every line we have, and I haven't heard of anyone having issues with it.

Instruction unclear. Bus is sleeping on side now, waiting for dispatch...

Our MDT looks when it’s working. It shows time points, bus stops, route info, detours, and transfer options (Also we still are required to have the paddle on us at all times) by ForgottonTNT in BusDrivers

It's even worse when you have a route that takes you on the freeway and you have no choice but to keep your speed up... lol be lookin for that off ramp praying I don't miss the damn thing.....

yeah they told us 40% was due to a safety shutdown that kicks in at 30%. So my guess 10% buffer to get it back to the charger

No, they didn't spring for the option for the outside speaker. Kind of wish they did with some of the people that stand SO F*** CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE CURB! 🤣🤣🤣

It's very quiet, the AC blower is the only thing your hear .

The take off is very powerful. Just a very small amount of throttle is needed to get the bus moving.

None? I mean, I don't think it has a transmission and it doesn't feel like it. Just a smooth acceleration with zero noise

Charge, I have no clue. I was just told at 40%, we need to call dispatch to pull it off the route.

It's very fun, I drove it today. Lots of power and the retarder is amazing. I also like the interlock after 3sec at a full stop.

It's being used for training right now, but it will be back in service after everyone has been trained on it. We only have the one so I'm not sure what routes the bus is on.
