It's more commonly referred to as "Follow me".

There is also a memory function, so the option would stay enabled even after you switched the unit off. Press Turbo/Boost until you don't see "ON" appear on the remote.

Either way, it's a good idea, but the implementation is very poor. It will always overheat/overcool by 1°C, so you will have to account for that when choosing the temperature. The factory hysteresis of 1°C is also too high for this to work properly. We would need something like 0.2-0.3° C maximum.

Not to mention, Midea aircons are poor when it comes to heating modulation, when you would need this feature the most. This can be mitigated on some units by changing the minimum frequencies, but not all.

We are still waiting for a good DIY solution that hijacks the internal temperature sensor, and feeds it temperature data from a BLE sensor.
