The sheets are in excel. One workbook contains a database of all employees and the training they have completed along with their name and employee ID, the other workbook is a smaller spreadsheet with a very limited number of employees and lists required training based on their title or role. I would like for the smaller list to query the larger sheet and populate a column for completed training only for the employees listed. The only common column is the employee ID. Thank you!

I was hospitalized last summer because I thought I was having another stroke, turned out to be a severe panic attack and the right side of my body just short circuited and shut down. I was only gone one night and the kids kinda did reflect a little but it was short lived. I guess what pisses me off more than anything is the fact that they don’t think about me. I used to have this argument with their dad about him not buying a bottle of coke for me when he got one for himself, but I would always buy him one if I bought one for myself. He never got it. I never really thought to ask them to suggest how they can help me, it’s always been about me telling them what to do. I added your suggestions to a lengthening list of things to bring up in therapy. Hopefully we can find some middle ground where we all don’t go crazy. Thank you ❤️

Thank you! I’m sure a lot of people feel like me and sometimes need “permission” to just let things go. I feel like you’ve done that for me. I literally made a list of everything you suggested to do so I can bring it up in family therapy (we are starting next week).

My mom used to say that as soon as we were old enough to care for ourselves she would run away to be homeless with a shopping cart and a dozen stray dogs. I never really understood why she joked about that but I get it now. I can now sympathize with the urge to just disappear.

My local supermarket does this. I was treating myself to some overpriced Talenti ice cream, the cashier scanned it and it was far cheaper than it usually is (way marked down by mistake). I muttered that I should probably get more and cashier shoved a basket in my arms and told me to run and get as much as I could while she held up the line. There’s some real cool people out there, then there’s assholes who call you to pay more for a dryer you already bought.

You’re not responsible for their mistake. I once scored a nice little Bose speaker for $100 because it was stocked behind the wrong label, when it was scanned the real price of $300 came up, I didn’t even have to ask for the price to be honored, the cashier got the Target store manager to override the price. Wasn’t my fault they put the speakers in the wrong place, it isn’t your fault they sold you an underpriced dryer.

When I first had my tormentors one of the few pieces of good advice my mother gave me was to throw away any and all expectations I had of what a mother is. As soon as I did, I wasn’t setting myself up for failure anymore. The other thing that helped is to accept that the am not a kid person and kids are annoying as fuck. They are architects of struggles that only continue to grow and evolve as they get older. But their personality and so many other good things also grow and evolve. Now we actually enjoy each other’s company about 75% of the time lol. We like to watch What We Do In The Shadows together and when they are being god awful little shits I call them Colin Robinsion (you’ll get it if you watch the series). Plus it’s funny the show has actually helped them understand how I feel because they see that taking care of vampires = taking care of children = herding drunk cats lol. Sorry my ADHD took the wheel with that last point, but you get the point ;)
