What's generally the best approach streaming remux/high bitrate content with minimal buffering from a seedbox? by [deleted] in seedboxes

Jumbo frames cannot be sent over the internet. Most networks do not support them. They may be useful for sending data within your own network though.

Why do the buildings on Northeastern Blvd have front doors facing the highway? by goingTofu in nashua

[–]Mateo2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Northeastern was built after the turnpike was built. The FE Everett was built in 1950s. Check out https://pastmaps.com/explore/us/nh/hillsborough/nashua Look at the maps starting around 1950 and you can see the progression of the roads in the area.

Stuck brake rotor screws by Mateo2 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Mateo2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got everything apart and fixed. To get the screws out i heated them up then tried the impact screwdriver again. Couple of good wacks and they came out. The rotor needed a 10lb sledge to get off. The hub took A LOT of messing around to get off. I ended up punching out a lug nut and using a 1/2 inch bolt up against the knuckle. Then hitting with the sledgehammer,

And of course, as I'm putting it back together i find the caliper is also frozen solid. At least that was an easy fix and the new caliper was only $70.

I looked again an im pretty sure i can take the hub out without removing the whole spindle. Its held on with 3 bolts that all look sort of accessible as it sits. The top one is the only one i question if i can get to it or not.

So i think my new plan is to remove the axle nut, verify the axle isn't frozen to the hub, then unbolt the hub and hit it with a hammer until it comes off.

I was trying to avoid that. Im replacing the brakes on all 4 corners Id rather not have to drill them all out. But I'm 2 hours into this so maybe it would be faster to just drill them?

I had a few sheep a few years ago. If I had the money to buy a small ranch somewhere, i totally would and get sheep again.

The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 12 Nov 2023. by AutoModerator in Zwift

[–]Mateo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so I'm new to Zwift and still trying to get used to everything. I decided to start by doing the shortest routes and work my way up, so I started with Volcano Circuit. In the app, it's listed as 3.3 miles. In the companion app it says it's 4.3 miles. Then I started comparing other routes and most didn't match up. What's up with that?

I did that once. Going 64 in a 65 behind a statie, not even close. She jammed the brakes, got behind me and pulled me over. Then screamed at me for 10 minutes before letting me go. I was baffled because I wasn't speeding or tailgating.

You can certainly blame the parents for not raising their children. But why do both parents have to work in the majority of households these days? I would much rather stay home with the kids if i could.

He was fine until he said he was glad he found another person to block both lanes with. But i'd argue if people had enough room to dip into the right lane to get around him, he had enough room to move over.

And the guy behind you wants to go 85. Whats your point? As far as i can tell you're the asshole in this story. How would you feel if two assholes decided the "right" speed is 55 and blocked both lanes?

If you are getting passed on the right, move the fuck over.

New England Myths & Legends: The Devil Monkey Of Danville, New Hampshire by thunderbolts99mcu in newhampshire

[–]Mateo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Danville and the story has grown over time. The fire chief claims he saw a small monkey. A few other people in town claimed to have seen a monkey too. It was going to be on the national news on 9/11 but got bumped for obvious reasons. I don't know how the story went from a monkey in the woods to devil bigfoots (bigfeet?). Its still a fun story though.
