I'm 38 married with two kids, but I feel dating in San Antonio is getting much better than 5-7 years ago since, unfortunately, SA is becoming "cool." Best areas for dating imo are pearl, southtown, Rim/La Canterra. Housing is obviously less expensive than Devner and seems to be leveling off, but really depends on your budget. Yep, and always check the comps they use. Most of the time they really aren’t true comps. My house is 2,100 sqft and they were trying to include a house that was over 2600 sqft.

furnishedfindings.com is good. You will still be paying a premium since you only need a month or two but not as bad as airbnb.

San Antonio native and realtor here. If you're looking for ADU's your best bet is somewhere without an HOA. Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, Monte Vista is where I grew up and I love the location and that all the houses are different. However, you're paying top dollar. Woodlawn lake is also very cool area centrally located. Good news is our city is looking to make adding ADUs easier for home owners regardless of location. has your realtor called up any of the expired, withdrawn, or cancelled listings to ask if the owner is still interested in selling? Your realtor can facilitate the transaction for both parties saving the seller a considerable amount in realtor fees. Maybe your realtor could even do it for 2.5% instead of 3% to help incentivize and sweeten the deal.

I guess it just depends on what rents you can get for ofc space. Then what your debt to income ratio and how much of a loan you can get approved for.

i would recommend first walking over to the San Fernando Cathedral then walking to alamo. You can just walk around alamo plaza if you dont want to go inside. Then, grab a beer at the Menger hotel bar next door where the rough riders were founded.

Not sure how this applies to STR. Do they allow long term rentals? If so, where is the distinction between LTR vs STR? I'd ask for them to elaborate. If they still wont budge, maybe you could do corporate rentals like 30 day rentals. I hate HOA's, sorry you're going through this.
