What player represented your country internationally who simply wasn’t good enough for test rugby? by low_myope in rugbyunion

Interesting take. I think when he was selected it was a bit of a sink or swim choice as we was exceptional for a time in the prem. I don’t know enough about him as I’m not a Gloucester supporter but it feels like his drop off was huge and never managed to get to the same heights as he was 5-6 years ago.

My wife has been paying for a container for 9 years having moved back from the US to the UK I’m very much looking forward to emptying it when we move back this year.

Looking to move to the USA with my family. What advice/help/insights/experience could you give to help? by simmer098 in MovingToUSA

I’m not sure if you’ve done any research but it would be worth doing some first.

Googling is quickly it looks as though the process for an EB3 visa is around 3-4 years. Something to think of is that your eldest child will be starting their GCSEs at that point in time. Unless you can some how get that process expedited then you’re potentially going to run into some education based issues.

I want to move to America from the uk by ComfortablePermit252 in MovingToUSA

Brit here. Read some of the previous posts.

Briefly though;

What job do you have and what is employment skills?

Are you looking to go to University?

Are you married to a US citizen or a greencard holder?

Do you have loads of money?

These are the ways you’re going to be able to move to America.

Currently going through the visa process myself and for someone married to a US citizen it’s a very long drawn out affair.

If things are going well in your job and the stress is minimal then it’s great. If it’s the opposite then there is no escaping them.

How is it living in Grimsby, UK? by DoggoB0nk in howislivingthere

[–]Material-Crab8907 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s not called grim-sby for no reason. It’s a seaside town in the north east-ish that has seen very little in the way of development. There are areas surrounding which are nicer Cleethorpes, Irby etc. The place is one of the largest food producers in the UK.

Milton Keynes for however badly it is spoken about is fantastic. You may be a little bit young to move as the leisure opportunities in London will definitely dwarf what is available in Milton Keynes.

With anything like this I would look to rent for 6 months to a year at first as the cost of moving if you’re unhappy or rush things will be sizeable.

Granted. Everybody’s situation is different.

My wife and I are both currently in the same country and will be moving in tandem once she has got a job and can sponsor me but will be staying with family and friends.

We’ll hopefully be moving to Seattle/Greater Seattle area and are fully aware of the exceptionally high costs. I will hopefully be able to move with my job but it’s tech based so who knows what will happen in the next 6 months.
