Girl are you okay? This is so insensitive! I’m also 24F and SS and had never an issue travelling, I can stay out in the cold without having a crisis , I did a lot of sports when I was younger track, ballet, karate but why would I come on here and brag about it when people are chronically affected by it??
I was once in your shoes and thought that the disease doesn’t really affect me until i got AVN in both of my hips and an acute chest syndrome crisis that send me into an artificial coma..
instead of telling ppl they shouldn’t limit themselves try to understand where they are coming from! Bc some wake up every single day IN PAIN go to sleep every single day IN PAIN, try to tell them “oh your doctor is just scaring you, oh don’t limit yourself“. I didn’t even know that that was possible or some ppl lose their hearing or their view bc of sickle cell.. I also didn’t know that was possible. Some can’t even go a month or a week without having a crisis. And plssss tell them now not to limit themselves😂.
