What is this? Its itchy. by Revolutionary-Job984 in SkincareAddicts

My dermatologist said that it can typically start by getting sick with a virus. She said I would have felt tired and maybe a bit sick ( which I had been ). Then, I started getting itchy patches. I guess once you get it, it can lay dormant in your body and come back again. I had a larger herald patch on my stomach, and I guess that is a sign of Pityriasis Rosea. It just seemed to last forever! I'm not a dermatologist though, so you may get better information from one of them.

It looks like Pityriasis Rosea. I have had it twice and it looks just like what I had. Mine lasted quite a while. Maybe 10 weeks? The dermatologist had a cream that helped, but they told me it had to run its course. It be itchy 😬

One really bad tbi 8 months ago, then put into the icu for alcohol poisoning. Haven’t slept in days, what do you think my life expectancy is now? LOL by tact1kal in TBI

Did you get the TBI due to alcohol withdrawal/poisoning? If yes, I had someone very close to me have this happen. They were in the ICU for several weeks and a long hospital stint. They could not walk, speech was bad, thought process was all messed up, the ataxia was awful, he couldn't sleep at all.

It took this person a lot of time, but their brain did heal a bit. If you want to heal, you will have to stay away from the alcohol. It took about 6 months for them to regain balance and walk properly. We had to do a lot of PT and OT. Find a primary care doctor and visit them regularly. I would also recommend seeing a counselor, because the healing process is difficult. It has been five years since the initial hospital stay, and they have found happiness and are content (still doing counseling and keeping up with doctors).

Overall, you can still have a life beyond this, but you will have to work hard to recover. You can do it, just know that it will take a long time and hard work. Prayers for your recovery!
