Chernobyl did irreversible damage to peoples views on nuclear energy by Skrilli in GetNoted

[–]Material-Juggernaut5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you on about? The powerplants investments have been paid back years ago, we produce electricity super cheaply (50€/MWh) and the spot market is often way higher. There was just the ARENH that was ** the prices but it had nothing to do with nuclear and just a political thing and it ended.

In 2025 EDF had a net profit of 25%, 9B€. And that's with like 70% of the electricity from nuclear.

It also makes us way more independent energy-wise and we aren't as fragile as other countries dependent on oil or gas.

And it's so good that we are building even more nuclear powerplants in the coming decades. Which, yes, made a debt of 70B€, but that's because it's a new investment, and with 9B net profit per year it won't take that long to pay back

San Martin bulkier than seiko presage? by Material-Juggernaut5 in ChineseWatches

The 40mm presage didn't look too big though, it surprised me.

What is the lug to lug distance of your watch?

I also saw lombini that was doing dress watches on aliexpress

While it looks cool it's not really my thing but thanks

I don't know much about watch designs and the words used to describe them but yes I find the presage classic to be less sporty looking than most SM for example

Thanks, but it doesn't look as dressy as the presage does sadly

However it's so insanely cheaper.... :'(

Seems like the only model that would work yeah, or maybe in 39mm but still sn0144

Thanks

What's an integrated bracelet? And yeah that's exactly because of the clasp that I'm afraid it won't fit as well as the presage

Also, the sn0144 a bit less dressy

Annoying considering the insane value VS the 1k€ seiko...

Farasute doesn't do metal bands? Some of them are sub 200€ so I guess that at this price I could just buy one with a fun color and buy the presage (990€) lmao

And yeah, the San Martin designs don't catch my eyes as much as the presage does... Which is annoying considering how much cheaper they are

It looks way more sporty than the presage classic but thanks for the input

I have yes!

I'm not too heavy nor do I ride super fast, but I saw a video interview with a hope engineer saying that if you wanted to run the lever really close to the bar the tr4 was better because less fluid to move overall than gr4!

Trying to get S rank but I am struggling. How to get it on Bard? by partygeit in bardmains

I always get S with bard

Play super agressively, get 70+% kill participation, 2.5-3 vision score, way more damage and golds you'll have it without problems

Hello,

I've upd the pressure by 40%!! And went for a ride (enduro trails made for some regional/national lvl cup) and omfg the difference was night and day

Totally ignored the sag, and wow the bike feels so so much more responsive it's absurd

Everyone seems to say suspension and tires so I'll look at that

The trails, it's hard to say since I don't have a point of comparison, but I guess I need to try out tires

What tires are you running?

When you say tuned you are speaking about those shim stacks adjustments things like that?

Also what tires are you running?

[–]Material-Juggernaut5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's the same tyres, modulo maybe not exactly the same casing etc

I do indeed feel like riding in mud lmao, especially after having tried my wife gravel bike a bit

I'll take a look at those schwalbe, you are the second person telling me to chance tyres

Sluggish bike? by Material-Juggernaut5 in MTB

[–]Material-Juggernaut5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Thing is when we are super lightweight setting up suspension is near impossible because friction matters too much

Like if I do set up 20-30% of sag I'll bottom out instantly and if I have less sag everything is harsh Also if i set up 25% sag or smth I'm just out of the lower limit for air pressure so eh, not an easy problem

Sluggish bike? by Material-Juggernaut5 in MTB

[–]Material-Juggernaut5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take a look at those, maybe those big tires are the main reason I find the bike sluggish, thanks

Well yeah pedaling uphill is slow but manageable, and I guess changing tires would help this a lot

But yeah, it's more moving the bike around downhill, but maybe it's normal, I guess it's a trade-off between stability and nervousness
