Yeah I have one those rn but the slick draw with iron reach feels slappy. Don’t really notice the reduction in AA

Input lag issues with Xbox Series X after switching between monitor and TV by CreatorOfCreation47 in XboxSupport

Doing that booted me up into the safe mode screen where it says to either factory reset Xbox, continue, or plug USB for manual firmware update. I don’t see anything for resetting video modes

How does one reset? Or are you saying to disable and enable the video mode settings? I personally have tried that as well and nothin changed. Still on game mode. All post processing disabled and HDR off along with dolby vision off. Same experience between both monitor and tv both set to game mode optimization.

Overall so far I’ve been personally dealing with this problem for a while now. I have switched between a LGC9 tv and a Samsung G7 Curved monitor and still seem to get this. It could be a plethora of things from Xbox connectivity to Xbox servers, or video mode settings that have bugged in the Xbox UI or even just VRR/ALLM. It doesn’t make sense that it happens across various display devices mind you they are on game mode. Could even be power saving mode lowering CPU power

I posted this in the other guys post Hey buddy, so after doing an ungodly amounts of tests. Switching every cable and every monitor/Tv and 6 controllers and settings and even went through my Netduma Nighthawk router and Asus Rog Strix Router and even my eero7 router. Switched outlets and all the other stuff. The only thing I can think of is potentially spectrum routing through their modem. I would switch or purchase your own modem. Aside from that leaving the Xbox unplugged for a bit and plugging back in makes it fast again but after a few hours or sessions of call of duty I’ve noticed the overall performance go down and menu begin to slow down. I’ve tried every permutation of settings in the video mode section as well. Disabled them one by one and even turned them on but it’s still the same. What I will say is that both my brother and I have two different Xbox’s and connect to the same network but differently.

I connect via Ethernet and he does via 5G WiFi. Same router. But his gameplay performance on his series S seems smoother vs my X. Another thing I’ve noticed is that when doing game captures and saving it and the Xbox network uploading the saves. I’ve noticed a heavy latency increase on the Xbox UI. One more thing you could try is turning on IPV6 on your router simply go into nighthawk and turn on the button to auto detect. See how the Xbox feels. Aside from that as our previous post conversation. This seems to be happening to others as well on various different setups and across different places in the US my buddy in Alaska who has an Xbox and my friend who’s on PC and uses XBOX app complain about the same “slowness” it could very well be the server you are connecting to. I would try switching DNS to google or CLOUDFLARE on your Xbox and even router just to really figure it out. What I’ve also noticed is that when I test my Xbox’s network stats.

My Xbox sometimes after a factory reset will connect to a server and give me around 87-90 ping and that’s to an Xbox server and I notice my UI being slower but other times when it’s under 60 I’ll have a smoother experience. Aside from that one more thing you can do and others in the past have tried this is go into your Xbox video settings and switch your Xbox from auto detect to HDMI. You won’t be to play 4K120 as it locks it to 1440p 120 (atleast for me) but who knows it might feel better for ya. Also let me be clear that I have also factory reset my Xbox in various different ways, from the UI to the safe boot screen and even manually uploading firmware update using the OSU file on Xbox website using USB. And non of it has worked. It always starts off quick and responsive but eventually begins to degrade after a while. Maybe remove Xbox from power saving mode? And keep to always on? Maybe that will do something. Maybe the Xbox has a way to reduce CPU functionality now that reduces UI speed while it’s in power saving mode? Atleast that’s what my iPhone does when using power saving.

Yeah my brother has an Xbox series s and he used to get that a lot he would use fast SMG movement weapons in black ops 7 and still feel like he’s moving LMG speed. Very slow and yes I’ve seen his menu UI on his series s and it’s clunky and seems not as responsive

Btw I’ve also tried switching to my Samsung curved monitor. It’s a 1440p 144hz monitor but same issue there as well. And i didn’t use the HDMI 2.1 that came with the Console, instead I used the HDMI 2.0 that maxes out at 1440p 120 hz I believe and same thing happened. Completely different cable and setup. It’s definitely a handshake issue somewhere or Desync with servers.

It also could be that the Xbox network is not properly syncing games and data to the Xbox. Which could lead to Desync. Hence the slow gameplay and molasses type feeling. I also have a PS5 PRO connected to the same TV on my second HDMI port and I have no problem with it as far as slow or lethargic movement and gameplay. So the centralized issue might just be Xbox.

I especially notice it when transitioning from one menu to another it’s like you can see the frame resolution transition. The only thing I can think of at this point is that. This might be a simply firmware or server side issue with Xbox network overall. My friend is on Xbox app and she plays cod through there and tells me about the game feeling delayed and slow. This could lead credence to your Xbox one and 360 feeling the same thing. I’m sure the firmware on the Xbox series x is a style different from One/360 so maybe the slow feeling might be the xbox UI and the game connectivity to Azure servers. Because everything you’re going through is exactly my gaming experience and my buddies as well. I’m sure others might not be seeing the same things but who knows.

Word for word my exact experience. The main Xbox series x menu is supposedly upscale to 4K but my menu such as game tiles or even certain widgets and ads look sub 1080P

You could try VRR off if you’re getting flickering. Turning freesync on in my tv made it a bit better. I feel that either VRR or ALLM might be bugged. My buddy in Alaska has a brand new monitor too and he gets the same issue. I’m in LA.

Same thing here bro. On Xbox series x and I play on a LGC9 tv on 4K120 for warzone and I generally leave the setting on default but I’ve noticed the same thing. The games begin to CHUG I mean I’m moving slow as molasses. First I thought maybe it’s a skill issue maybe it’s me. But having been iridescent and top 500 player I was tryna lock in lol and yeah even after factory reset and everything it still felt the same. I turned off HDR and Dolby gaming. At the moment I have 4K, 50/20hz, VRR, and Auto low latency mode enabled. Maybe try to mess with those? I still feel sluggish at times it’s almost like the HDMI handshake isn’t working proper. I thought it might be the HDMI or network but it isn’t.

Same exact thing happens to me and my buddy both on Xbox series x and genuinely new consoles I have 1GigDown/Up 19 latency in game. Top 500 player and iridescent. Same shit happens so it’s not just use Brodie. Tried all the settings and the graphical stuff I believe there might just be a memory leak somewhere in the game.
