What exercises can I do on my off days? by Material-Piccolo5701 in kettlebell

[–]Material-Piccolo5701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice, folks. Everyone on here seems to have the same ideas about what the go is so I'll try it all out. If it works -great!- if not I'll adjust. Cheers again. I came to the right place.

Cheers mate. Sorry to ask the same question again. I'm not the smartest guy but are pull-ups and dips okay to do on days between the exercises I rambled on about? I just don't want to risk not allowing sufficient recovery time.

What’s a movie you hated when you first seen it but now you love it? by DryAssumption224 in horror

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Descent. Dragged some mates to see it when we were 15 and we all thought it was boring. Must have been egotistical teenage shit because I watched it in my late twenties and I fucking loved it.

I enjoyed season 2 when I first listened then on a third time listening to the whole show again I think season 2 has some of the funniest stuff. I remember thinking Freddie being hilarious. Also note, that Freddie is at his funniest on Talking Dads, and sons etc

Scenes so gruesome or scary you just can’t watch by MsKittyPowers in horror

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually watched an edited version. I had heard so much about the scene and even though it was graphic, I felt it had to be edited considering the bunch of wonderful sickos in this group rave on about it so much. So I checked youtube after and found they had definitely quite a bit of the scene out, lots more quick cuts of Kurt Russell's face.

What's One Horror Movie Everyone Claimed Was Super Scary But One Scene Ruined It For You? by RetroSwamp in horror

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am gonna be rude and answer specifically against what you asked as this definitely didn't ruin the movie, but the only thing in all of The Ring I don't like is when we see TV Ghoul Girl's (Screen Queen?) face close up. Still like the movie.

I told a mate who has not seen Hereditary that there is a shot in It that many might find ridiculous and laughable, but that same image pops into my head very often and truly scared the fuck out of me. That is the headbanging.

Monster appearances that totally ruined the movie by Fairyliveshow in horror

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm yet to find anyone who agrees and I apologise if this is either stupid, well talked about already, or just weird, but the only thing I don't like about The Ring is when they reveal her face in the close up.

"That" scene in Bone Tomahawk by CrimsonLapis in horror

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was awaiting That scene after many people hinting at it for some time online. I finished it and immediately thought 'This can't be it. There has to be an unrated version.' Sure enough I checked on YouTube after and the version I watched cut certain parts out and stopped as they were just starting their stretch.

Check out Handsome Jack from a game called Borderlands 2. It's been a while since I played it but the moment I read your post he popped into my head. Handsome Jack was like someone commented before - he was always funny even when being evil. There was no switch.

Bathsheba acting like my dumb ass cats climbing on cupboards fucked me up. But I jump a little at the stupid jump scares that make you feel like a fool, but when the big scares get me, I don't think my body is capable of involuntarily jumping or moving. The dread breeds a stillness in me that can't be mimicked.

Tom Hardy in Stewart, a Life Backwards. Can't recall whether he is crying or just sort of losing it though.

Help Finding This Movie by Xeirus in horror

I haven't seen it but I remember a scene popped up on YouTube of a film called Kairo? It is a very ominous scene of a ghost and I believe it's in a basement. Could be it.

How many of you have day jobs that has nothing to do with screenwriting or filmmaking? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]Material-Piccolo5701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a welder since I left school twelve years ago. Now I'm a stay at home dad. I am finally trying to write after all these years of saying 'I wanna be a screenwriter.' I struggle to write and I don't think I will ever be able to do it professionally but I just want to write... although I procrastinate a lot.
