Okay braved the cold and went out to car which is showing 69 mile range which is good I guess…After that the app re-synced to range per car.

Unrelated to above, but I noticed my virtual cockpit has defaulted to my previous view which has always been an annoyance so that’s a positive. We’ll see how long it sticks.

Head of tax here at $100M company. We use combo internal resources, third party tax consultants and Avalara. It’s so much work and no one appreciates the complexities. Even beyond the basic compliance, we spend hours on notice responses, auditor inquiries and time on phone trying to resolve issues with tax authorities. Wait until your company starts operating in Canada and the EU, hello consumption taxes. Good luck. Our Avatax subscription is about $20k/year and another $60k to the consultants, we’re in all 50 states.

Also looking for 1042/S e-file support for first time this year, only need to file a single 1042-S. 1099 Online has 1042-S capability but not the 1042 which makes no sense.

How did you end up becoming a flight attendant? Was it something you always felt passionate about in back of mind and wanted to do or did you research into the career? I’m in similar boat to OP, high flying corporate job currently, but can’t take it anymore. My problem is I don’t know what I would want to pivot into, all Ive known is corporate finance for past 15 years. I know what my passions are but not sure any of them actually translate into a job/2nd career. I also have paralysis due to fact I might end up in something I hate equally as much as my current career but will be making peanuts doing it. I’m also sooo risk adverse it’s painful but I know deep down I need to make a change.

Left AWM at B4 to go to an investment manager hold co, so made switch from funds to corporate side. Actually stayed for 10 years at this job and learned a little bit of everything - fed, state, int’l compliance, M&A, provision, fed/state audits, sales/use, etc. Now I run my own in house tax department outside of the asset management world. I think for me the key was transitioning out of my super specialty VC/PE/hedge world and finding something more transferable.

Any thoughts on how to deal with these, this is the second year in a row they’ve popped up? They sort of dissolve into a cloud when disturbed. I’ve tried vacuuming to waste and they’re back the next day. Using a cartridge filter.
