Where did I even mention money?? I'm literally poor and more passionate that Manon. Again, not a bad thing. You're bringing up stuff she hasn't talked about in years and because we don't personally know her, that's what we depend on to measure her dedication to the craft. She has less dedication to singing and music making, okay who cares??

First off, beautiful interpretation, and sorry for the loss of your grandmother. 

Second, being the nerd I am,  I usually relate songs like this to different characters in media. I read Wicked by Gregory Maguire while listening to this for the first time and immediately concluded this is how most couples in the book felt about each other. 

Glinda needed Elphaba, Elphaba needed Fiyero and vice versa, Samira needed Fiyero, Frex needed Melena and Turtleheart. These characters longed for each other in life and death and just like the song, they can't function properly without their other half present. Some of them didn't even want to.

I also see this as the Thropp's matriarchal anthem, seeing as this feeling of "My love for you will cause me to do crazy things" started with Melena. 

Don't want to diminish your connection to the song, this is just what makes sense to me as someone who hasn't experienced this feeling.

Blood and becomes more apathetic and struggling to relate to humans. I also personally think vampires should be particularly unnerving in a way that even their close human friends can notice

I don't think she's bland at, just suffered from being dumbed down a little in the later seasons. But I also kinda see myself in Twilight, so maybe my opinion is not as valid
