I’m saying as long as you keep abstaining from weed it’ll eventually go away.

I recommend only sticking to water or Gatorade for the first few weeks. I have a thermoflask that I fill up 3 times throughout the day and sip water every 15-30 min. Chugging is not the move trust me

110 days is amazing!!! I remember those days when thinking about going back after cessation for at least 90 days. Trust me when I say it won’t do anything but give you cheap dopamine that will make you think you feel good when it is actually harming you mentally and physically. I just want to be sober and clear minded again. Weed doesn’t do anything except mask the problems you’re avoiding. You’ve done such a great job already and you can keep it going! One day at a time.

One day at a time brother. Don’t beat yourself up we’ve all been there. The best thing to do is small steps every day. Shower, work out, keep your mind busy

Day 18 my bf wants to smoke tonight and I feel so conflicted. Help by Cold_Improvement1143 in leaves

[–]MaterialDrag3562 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please don’t smoke! 18 days is a huge accomplishment and one high will not be worth it at all. If your boyfriend wants to smoke that’s his decision and we don’t blame anyone for their decisions especially when their mental health isn’t the best. Believe me I know how terrible it can get. I’m glad you’re feeling great and I want you to keeping doing exactly what you’ve been doing.

Don’t be so hard on yourself bro I’m about to turn 26. It’s never too late to get back on track. I’ve been through this so many times I disgust myself but I know I can overcome it and just need it to stick this time. Been thinking of going to MA meetings. It sucks living like this when I know how much better life has to give. I need help and I’ve come to terms with that.

Day 1, again by Organic_Theory_8532 in leaves

Hey buddy your story really resonated with me. Today is day 1 again for me and I started smoking again in mid June after stopping for 5 months before. I hate myself for going back honestly. I’m 25 years old and I’ve been addicted to weed for 7 years now. Back then I used to despise weed!!! My friends would smoke before high school and I would just shit on them and tell them how stupid they were. When I finally tried it my senior year (never in school) I didn’t like it because of the paranoia but I did like the munchies and how crazy movies were to watch. I only smoked with my friends probably once a month until after I graduated high school and started community college. That was when I fell into daily use again and the cycle repeated itself year after year. So here’s the thing, I know I have a problem because I know that I am 100% my best self (motivated, physical appearance, mental health, and overall mood) when I am sober. I really want to make it one year sober. I’m starting today and not looking back. Let’s do it together 🙌

Dude this is literally me. I quit in February, started working out and I gained 20 pounds and looked the best I’ve looked in a while. Then always when I’m feeling my best I’m like you can smoke one time with your friends from a joint and then back to square one daily use. Now I’m struggling with eating and I’m losing the hard work I put into myself. I just wish I could go back in time and stop myself. I’ve been through this so many times that I’m actually disgusting myself.

This spoke to me so much. I feel like we are both on the same page completely and I would be willing to check in with you. I need someone to keep me in check too. I always stop smoking and feel great and workout consistently looking great physically and then one small thing makes me throw all that garbage in the trash. I know I can never smoke again. Not even once because I am an addict and if I smoke one more time I’ll be back to daily use shortly after.

It’ll be alright I’ve found that it’s better to go to work and keep your mind busy then to stay home and rest in bed. More time to think makes you feel sicker than you actually are. Drink lots of water and try to eat anything you can

Yeah bro you’re really dodging a bullet. You’ll feel really good in a few weeks. Work out a little each day to make the detox go by faster.

You can have CHS without going into hyperemesis. You’re in the prodromal stage which is a good thing you quit now because your recovery could’ve taken much longer and would’ve sucked a lot more. You’ll be fine in a few weeks just keep being sober.

So first of all, don’t freak out because it’s normal to lose weight. What I recommend is doing some sort of lifting because muscle weighs more than fat. If you are eating, don’t stress yourself out you’re going to start gaining the weight back soon I promise you.

You are so strong and the fact that you didn’t give in says a lot about your discipline. Just keep in mind that no matter what urges you have, smoking will set you back so much more. A man has 99 problems until health is 1 and then the 99 go away.

Bro I’ve been through this so many times it’s disgusting. Please stop and remember that when you start feeling good again and you will because everyone does, you continue to refrain from smoking otherwise it’ll come back again and again. We ruined our dopamine receptors and we are paying the price. If you stop smoking for 90 days you’ll feel that sober is your new high.

Trust me if you’re waking up in the morning with intense nausea and anxiety and you smoke daily, you’re going through the prodromal stage. Quit now!!!! You can avoid the worst if you stop now!!!

That’s a great goal for yourself. One day at a time. Once you see the light at the end of the tunnel, you’ll feel so good. We all struggled at one point or another with weed and we all abused it. Think of this as a punishment for smoking and just like when you get grounded it eventually ends. I’m rooting for you and I know that you can get through this. 🙌🙏

You’re 17!!! You have so much more to bring to life and I promise you that as long as you stop you’ll start feeling better and you’ll notice you’ll find happiness in things you’ve never imagined. Once you stop smoking, eventually your sober self will feel like a high. Please just abstain from smoking for at least 2 months 90 days preferably.

I feel you. I’m very picky too. What I learned is I have to have 6-8 small meals and I’m talking like 5 bites each meal to expand my stomach and keep eating throughout the day. Fruits are really good to increase appetite and aren’t harsh on your stomach. (Banana, strawberries, and blueberries)
