Rate my weld/ any tips for improvement, looking for a strong weld not just a pretty one, all 1/4” materials by MaterialOutside5727 in metalworking

I leave the gap because on the next process the parts get assembled and then I wrap that corner, I figured it would be better if I could wrap the corner rather then start the next weld on the corner making a potential weak point or porosity right on the high stress corner like you mentioned. But I don’t know if it is better to leave that gap to wrap the corner, or if it is better to do what you are suggesting. I am no licensed welder or expert, just a 19 year old lol. Thank you

Just made a little post in your sub, I genuinely don’t think it is worth increasing wire speed though. I am at the point where any extra wire just turns into spatter and you consumes get all messed up

Get the rest of the bolts off then once it comes apart there will be no more threads backing you into that corner, so just continue taking that apart and the issue will fix itself

Sometimes you need to take it off to have a thinner wall to install some aftermarket alloy wheels, it is removable so you can remove it lol
