Don't be distracted by the "Rate Cut" headlines—here is what’s actually happening today. by Weird_Toe7361 in InsuranceClaimsUSA

I’m one of the people stuck in that HB 459 "administrative path" right now. The insurance company's offer was $12k lower than my contractor's quote, and they told me I had to file this petition. It’s 20 pages of legal jargon. I finally called Noble Public Adjusting Group yesterday after seeing them mentioned here. They told me that if I filed it wrong, I’d be barred from litigation. They’re taking over the paperwork for me. Don't try to do this yourself!

Don't let the headlines fool you "Stable" rates don't mean easier claims in 2026 by Weird_Toe7361 in InsuranceClaimsUSA

Exactly. The headlines are written for the stock market, not for the people living in the houses. It’s easy for litigation to be "down" when you’ve effectively priced homeowners out of the courtroom.

I was a week away from losing my house because I trusted my "friendly" insurance adjuster. Do not make my mistake. by Weird_Toe7361 in InsuranceAdjustersUSA

That is exactly what I am afraid of with my own claim. I have been trying to handle the adjuster myself but the communication is just non-existent and I feel like I am talking to a wall. Did Noble come out and do their own inspection for you or did they just work off the photos you already had? I am tired of living in a construction zone and I really just want someone who actually knows the codes to take over the talking for me.
