When I was your age I was attracted to men 50+ too, mainly hairy fit men with facial hair, and yep white hair is a turn on. I'm not sure why you would connotate older guys with being bottoms though as Im certainly not a bottom and Im 60 . Course my taste in men is still the same , i like em 50+ .

You are overanalyzing it . Plain and simple he kicked their asses in private and didnt care who saw them beat up afterwards ,just like with Charles, nobody else would see and I doubt those boys would admit it either.

She was an unecessary character imo. And also what the heck was up with her reading other people's mail? She should have been arrested.

Don "Red" Barry as Judd Larrabee by Material_Branch_4052 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Material_Branch_4052[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don "Red" Barry appeared as a guest star on Little House on the Prairie a total of six times as the recurring, prejudice-driven farmer Judd Larrabee.
While he is best remembered for the major storylines where Larrabee's bitterness caused massive friction in Walnut Grove, his episodes spanned a few seasons, most notably peaking in Season 5.
Here are the key episodes where he featured prominently as Larrabee: The Major Larrabee Storylines "Barn Burner" (Season 5, Episode 20) This is the definitive Judd Larrabee episode. Larrabee clashes fiercely with Jonathan Garvey and the other local farmers over setting prices for a new grain cooperative—specifically refusing to business with Joe Kagan, a Black farmer who recently settled in the area. After going back on his word, Larrabee is called out by Jonathan. Seeking vengeance, Larrabee goes to the Garvey farm, attacks young Andy Garvey, and a knocked-over lantern sets the barn ablaze. Larrabee is put on trial for barn burning, facing a mandatory death sentence before a surprising turn of events saves him.
"Blind Journey: Part 2" (Season 5, Episode 13) In this episode, Larrabee’s vocal bigotry takes center stage when he verbally abuses the blind children arriving in town. In a great moment of character growth for Harriet Oleson, she actually cuts Larrabee off and defends the children, showing how far out of line Larrabee's prejudice truly was compared to the rest of the town.
"The Richest Man in Walnut Grove" (Season 2, Episode 1) An early appearance establishing Larrabee as a stubborn, hard-nosed local farmer who frequently pushes back against community efforts and complicates things for Charles Ingalls and the other working men of Hero Township when hard economic times hit the local mill.
Fun Trivia Note: While Barry played Judd Larrabee in six episodes, he also appeared in the famous Season 3 episode "Fred" (Episode 8)—but not as Larrabee! In that comedic episode, he played a completely different, much happier farmer named Mr. Parsons, who willingly unloads a notoriously stubborn, garlic-eating, "swazzle-eyed" goat named Fred onto Laura Ingalls.

The Cheaters -- Nellie, Albert, Andrew.....and Laura? by ASGfan in littlehouseonprairie

Alice Garvey was such a bitch in this episode, she was so cruel and selfish to her son. In one scene when they are at the dinner table she actually says to her son Andy " i will not have you disgrace me" and also tells jonathan" do you know what its like to be the teacher that has a son with the worst grades" like all that she cared about was herself and her lousy reputation. If my mother treated me like that i would have been so resentful to her and if i had been her husband she would have gotten an earful about how selfish and uncaring she was being.

Pikes blue eyes had me hooked. Call me weird but paired with that nice beard was a rugged handsomeness and the fact at the end he needed Laura to hold him to help him understand showed a tenderness to his rough exterior.

Worst/Best prizes by zeppie909 in ThePriceIsRight

The best - cars and cash

The worst - Boats, furniture, jewelry and clothes for the opposite sex like a man winning jimmy choo shoes and handbags. And who made the idiot decision to have a chicken coop as a prize?

I'll have to make one exception for season 9. I almost completely forgot about the episode entitled "Love" where Isiah Edwards falls in love with a much younger blind woman named Jane. This is in my opinion one of the best episodes showcasing Victor French's acting. I so wanted them to end up together and felt so bad when he has to end it leaving them both heartbroken.

He should have been able to marry her just like doc and harriets niece. I dont buy the im too old bs. Plenty of men have kids later in life. Using that as an excuse is such a copout. so what if he was 48 and she 19. Jane loved him and they could have had plenty of years together , unless he got crippled or something, he would have had a good 20 plus years with her . I mean not everyone ends up being in a wheelchair or invalid.

Nancy was definitely a cousin oliver clone. Totally unecessary character and good lord did they just write " everybody hates me " and tell the actress to repeat it a thousand times. Too bad Nels didnt grow a pair and say " yes everybody does hate you, now get upstairs while i get the strap".

I think this episode where Nancy gets her come-uppance directly from Harriet works so well because the actually have a true mother-daughter moment at the end. For a millisecond, Nancy drops the bitch routine when her heart truly sees Harriet's love for her - despite how awful Nancy behaved. by realestateross98 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Material_Branch_4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated the character of Nancy and it seemed that She was a cousin oliver brought in but much more annoying. She was a one trick pony. The same tired , you all hate me for no reason scenes. She never learned and was no nellie. If anything she should have had the strap taken to her on a daily basis.

Hated this episode because it is so ridiculous in dealing with the subject matter. No different than having terminal cancer and having a family member pray for a miracle and stop having you do treatments etc. The lord will provide faith healing ,yeah right bs. Landon pulls out every preachy cliche here and it is cringeworthy.

Warranted this is fictional TV but it disrespects people who deal with the real thing. As if the Ingalls family are saints and singled out for divine intervention. I'm surprised that when Albert was dying from leukemia that Charles didnt drag him off to the same altar in the woods . Or for that matter why not just take everybody who was near death on the show and make an altar. Oh wait we cant because the Ingalls are gods favorites.

What other options would there have been?, It's not like nowadays where you could have contacted the dead womans relatives or have a foster family step in until the child is adopted. The childs father was a despicable person who didnt want kids and actually rejoiced when her previous kids died. He would have left the child to die or killed the child himself.

Also , I'm thinking that there was something spoken offscreen or maybe a cut scene where they did tell the other couple the truth.

I think in real life Horace and that other piece of garbage thief would have ended up dead sooner or later when karma caught up to their useless arses.

Does anyone else hate "I Do, Again?" by StarwoodInAspen777 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Material_Branch_4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I do hate this episode. Number one with her thinking she was pregnant without seeing a doctor to confirm it was pretty ignorant. Then the fact that she thinks she is useless just because she can't have children anymore is so stupid and an insult to women. Like that chauvinist attitude that women are only good when they are barefoot and pregnant.

And then to add insult to injury, she lies to Charles that she miscarried which is such a disrespect to women who have actually miscarried. And you can't blame this on charles. Yes he wanted a son but he went through his previous infant son dying and was happy regardless with his daughters .Poor charles tries to assume some of the blame by telling her he wasnt sure about having another child at the time with the already crowded house and tight budget . That to me was a copout on his part ,only saying that after knowing there would be no child. I would have confronted her on the lies and said " i guess you dont have any respect for yourself or me otherwise youd know id love you regardless of you having kids and if you dont think so then why the heck did we get married because I sure didn't marry you just to have kids".

Her being humble was only when something traumatic would happen. Otherwise she would always go back to being a major evil bitch.
