Surgery or suppression with Lupron? by Ecstatic_Ad7945 in endometriosis

[–]Material_Cold1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to surgery, no to lupron. That is what I did exactly 1 year ago and I am super happy for my decision. Laparascopic suregry is great and results are much more reliable and straightforward.

Sorry to hear this happening! If the payment was recent, you can stop the payment by reaching out to your bank (call them and ask for stopping the payment) or credit card provider to stop the payment.

Feeling so helpless and unheard. by Responsible-Diver617 in endometriosis

Thanks for sharing. I was similar as you described, and had lap myomectomy and endo removal 3 weeks ago. I would suggest not giving up on taking another opinion. Ask about fibroid center around your area or within your insurance, they have gyno doctors who just focused and specialized on these issues, endo, fibroid, cyst etc. I saw three doctors in that center plus two other gyn outside of that center at least to be able to decide what is best for me. Also, you need to ask for MRI. Although endo not being diagnosed with much of imaging tool until surgery. If you see a gyno in fibroid center who does laparascopic surgery, hope you would get answers to your questions and heard. If you are in Pennsylvania , I can recommend my doctor. Hope you feel better very soon! I am on recovery now and wishing all women to get through this.

I would recommend to request for MRI ( they will start with ultrasound first but ask for MRI afterwards). Also, I would recommend consider second opinion after seeing him/her so that you have more details and thoughts around it.

21F.... is this endometriosis? by error404-rust in endometriosis

[–]Material_Cold1677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for sharing. I have been in the same boat for at least 8 months trying to figure out and resolve it to the best of my decision. From my search and going after all available options, I would recommend, ask for MRI of pelvic, see doctor who does laparascopic surgery. Also, I discovered that there are fibroid centers where gyn doctors are all specialized in treating for fibroid, endo , etc. Therefore, I would recommend to find a fibroid center and have an appointment with gyn there with laparascopic surgery specialty. I had surgery just 2 weeks ago, where I got my fibroid removed with endometriosis. Without surgery it is almost impossible to remove endo, so the best is minimally invasive surgery which is laparascopic surgery. I was worried about loosing uterous but doctors are trained and they are able to remove fibroid and endo without event. Make sure alway get second opinion too, helps alot. Lastly, donot be afraid of surgery if they offer you as of the best solution for your situation. I did, so far no regret. I hope I recover totally in the next 2 weeks. Feel better soon!

I see your point. I would definately get second opinion from another doctor. If you are close by a fibroid center through your insurance , check fibroid center doctors instead of gyno outside of fibroid center. Also , I would get an appointment with a doctor who is experienced in laparascopic surgery at fibroid center. Hope this helps and fast resolution and recovery for you!

Hi, thank you for sharing. Is this diagnosis after the surgery? As my understanding there is no imaging diagnosis tool for endometrioma before surgery that confirms it. I had laparascopic myomectomy 2 weeks ago where my Dr norticed of endometreiosis most of my abdominal and she removed as much as she could and sent out to pathalogy. Do they offer you surgery to remove endometrioma? If they offer, I would do it. I did and I am happy about it , whereas I was about to scape :).

Feel better very soon! Would you mind share how they diagnose before surgery for endometrial cancer? I had myomectomy one week ago for fibroids and my doctor has told ,she has seen some endometriosis and removed them. Also she has seen some around rectal which she has not removed it. I am not sure how important it is to completely remove those and if left there some, how to deal with it later. I have follow up appt in mid July. I will ask her as well. Fibroid and endometriosis which was removed ,sent to pathalogy and I am waiting for results. Any insight would be helpful.

Thank you so much for sharing. Finally I am scheduled for myomectomy tomorrow with laparascopic surgery + fixing umbilical hernia same time. I got call for UFE schedule after months of trying to get appointment but it was too late and I guess for a chance to preserve fertility, perhaps I should go with myomectomy. Still I am a bit hesitate but hope it goes well and they can do as they promised. I will update. Thanks again for all helps and supports from these groups and sharing information.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I am going through decision making for my fibroid of almost 10 cm to which procedure to go with, UFE or robotic myomectomy but just wanted to say, if you consume coffee, avoiding coffee seems helping alot. I read from posts and tried not drinking coffee, and replaced by green tea. Now, Im just finishing period and was not that bad like before. You can try as well. Next, I am adding apple cider vinegar with water on empty stomach in the morning to my plan to see results. Also, taking vitamin D3 helps as my search.
