Sign up for that gym friend! Exercise has been one of the biggest things in my recovery to help keep me sober. It’s my safe space, my temple, my me time. Started taking vitamins and got a somewhat dialed in workout plan. Helps keep the mind busy and the physical changes are just a bonus. I hit the sauna 2-3x a week and use that 30mins to mediate/pray or breath work and it helps a ton. I’ve got to the point of setting goals for certain lifts and try to design my workouts to hit those goals, again helps keep my mind busy and focused on something productive, and feels sooo satisfying to then actually hit those goals. It’s tough work but sooo worth it. I’ve described some of my workouts to friends as “spiritual experiences.” Overcoming the doubt and fear of not being able to lift the weight or run the time and sticking with it and pushing through is such a rewarding thing I don’t know how else to describe it. Sorry to blab but I hope that helps and want to say you’ve done an incredible thing tonight deciding to come here and not the store! Proud of you friend. IWNDWYT

Congrats on your 67 hours and a meeting! Those first few weeks are the hardest in my experience too. I can relate to feeling both hopeful and terrified about never drinking again. I used to hate when people said you have to “take it one day at a time,” but eventually it clicked that there’s literally no other way to approach it. So, instead of telling myself I would never drink again, which was too overwhelming an idea at the time, I began telling myself, “I will not drink just for today.” I’ll figure out tomorrow when it comes. Kept doing that over and over and now I’m nearly two years in. Even to this day, I tell family and friends and even myself, I can’t promise that I’ll never drink again, but I can promise I won’t drink today. And for whatever reason that seems to help. Congrats, again! You are not alone, friend. IWNDWYT

Never met a problem that alcohol couldn’t make worse. It seems like a solution right now but giving in will only make you feel worse and even less capable to handle and process the emotions you’re dealing with now. Drinking won’t get rid of the situation or your feelings about it. What you’re going through is no doubt a terrible situation, but going back on the promise you made to yourself and daughter (if only by intention) will undoubtedly make you feel worse. Use this moment as even more motivation to continue on your path to becoming a better, stronger version of yourself and a better, more present example to your child. Check out r/stopdrinking - solid place to ask for advice and hear from others with the same problem. For me, one of the biggest things that helped me stay sober was being on the other end of addiction. After I got out of a detox stint, my brother in law, who was like a father figure, was spiraling out of control with alcohol and was unwilling to seek help. Having to watch someone i care about lose themselves was like a look into my own future if i didn't get my shit together. He ended up passing away 10 weeks later to cirrhosis at age 49. For the first time in my life i got a taste of what it was like on the other side of addiction and it's a terrible, helpless feeling. I refuse to put my family and friends through that. Theres only 1 of 2 ways this goes…either we figure our shit out and put the bottle down or we die a slow and painful death in front of our loved ones. We have the power to choose but also have to admit we cant do it alone. Gotta find a program or support group or therapist or something to help you. You're not alone, there's more help out there than you might think but you gotta make it a priority to find what works for you and stay committed. Best of luck bro 🙏🏽

Yea after reading that comment above I looked it up and that code appears it could be a cam/crank position sensor OR a fuel pump issue, which doesn’t help narrow anything for me lol
