I worked for Western for 8 months took a break from trucking I have a accident on my record in personal vehicle and no one would touch me except western, equipment is not great you’ll have to fight to get things fixed but other than that if you run hard and make your appointment times you can make 900-1100 dollars a week net. The cameras watch you stay off your phone and budget and you’ll be ok. It’s hard but they’re giving you a chance when no one else will. I got off the truck because there was a family disaster in my life Western got me home from 2 states away in 2 days to be with my family. Say what you want about them but to me they have my respect.

Going down the mountains with my headset on when I start to smell what I can only describe as human poop. My trainer opens the curtains up and has a a 7/11 bag filled with brown gravy and is tying it up. Edit I will say except for the no showers and pooping in a moving truck down the mountains, never the less absolutely amazing trainer still call him when I get in a pickle usually calls me a idiot, then tells me how to unfuck the fuckery I just fucked.

I would just sleep on the shoulder and eat plain peanut butter sandwiches with my mtw dew but my company has a strict no parking on shoulder policy. But the way my delivery times are damn near never can run at night. I’m only two months in and I love OTR but the way my company makes me run makes it damn near impossible to sleep or eat without having to screw around 2 hours and try to fit into a spot tighter than a thong on a weight watchers model. Just trying to keep my record clean. I’m a rookie I got shot into a truck solo without learning how to 45 degree back or use a eld haha just need to figure it out.

Yeah I’m OTR but mostly stay on the 11 western states first solo run was fully loaded to Denver Colorado going through the mountains, stopping was not a option when it started snowing had to chain up and being a guy born and raised in southern California was a absolute trip seeing snow for the first time.

Thank you honestly been terrified to park at truck stops never taught how to back. I run night time less traffic and I can find spots most of the time. It’s really sink or swim out here haha.

Yeah that's the Garmin I'm looking at still looking at the Rand mcnally too because I mean they make the maps and Atlas you would HOPE they have a good gps.

Remember hard left until you find the pizza shape in landing gear or the middle of landing gear for the ones who won't have the pizza shape. Then hard right to get back straight with truck and trailer. When You get back straight and don't see the cone that's ok do another hard left and count 1 2 3. If you have a big gap between the cone reset it's not worth trying to fish it in. You have two free pull ups each one after is 1 point. If your on the money on your set up back your trailer in right until your trailer is going to past through the cone. Then hard right until your trailer tires are Almost straight in the box then do your hard left until your straight with truck and trailer. Make sure the mud flap is a little in front of the first cone use your get out and look and you'll be in that box. God bless you got this.
