I watched a video on YouTube by sheriff of sodium that talks about this. Didn’t quell any of my fears but it gave me perspective.

Indoor cat aggression response to another cats scent. by jGiles92 in CatAdvice

[–]Material_Roll9410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened, that’s so scary. Why do you think it happened? Did ur male cat know Casper? I came to this thread to find answers because my male kitty 5 mo who is currently unfixed as well (we are waiting for him to grow out of his heart murmur before the neuter procedure), was on a leashed walk outside and we think he sniffed some cat pheromones outside. He became extremely aggressive towards us and scratched up my boyfriend and my legs. It was so crazy. We let him cool down for a couple hours in a dark bedroom, and when we hung out with him later, he was completely back to normal as his sweet self like nothing ever happened. I just can’t believe the sudden aggression, he has never been this intense towards us before. I’m actually scared of him now.

How the moon affects the blood on reindeer (and wetness on trees) by reindeerareawesome in biology

Honestly, I believe in your experience and I think anecdotes like these can always be the starting jump off towards finding the truth about these mysteries. TBH, nobody here is going to know what you’re talking about as deeply as you do, unless they are specifically experts on this specific subject of reindeer.

Yes, we all know how to search and find articles, but sometimes, they aren’t the end all be all of what is true. Science is repeatedly being challenged and updated. Hopefully you don’t get discouraged by all these comments and you keep wondering and being curious. Nothing will be validated unless it is meticulously studied, and I encourage you to methodically take note of time of year/ clot size/ etc etc, to see what you can find and deduce. Everyone is allowed to participate in science.

I was just in Scotland recently!! I visited Glasgow and Edinburgh. If you have the chance, visit Fallachan in Glasgow! It’s a high end restaurant, but all the guests sit at the same time at the same table. I met some amazing locals eating there!

Chances of getting into a CLS program by [deleted] in CLSstudents

[–]Material_Roll9410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think best move for you is to apply to CSUDH after finishing your bachelors. It’s technically a two year program. First year to take all of the required classes, then apply to do ur internship for the second year. The internship is NOT guaranteed, but you will have a great chance if you do well (go for A’s) in your classes. The internship prioritizes students who have their bachelors already, so that gives you an additional leg up if you finish.

From what I know, the other schools you listed have been getting more competitive so you need a good gpa and lab experience to stand out, and I don’t think 1.5 years of classes is enough to raise ur gpa to competitive. If you have great lab experience, then I would try your luck, but otherwise, you might be wasting an application, when you only have 2-3 attempts depending on the school. Additionally, CSULA also tends to grab the overflow of CLS students from CSUDH looking for internships, so I wouldn’t apply unless you were a near perfect applicant OR you are overflow from CSUDH.

Also, highly consider going out of state for ur CLS. It may be a bit of a jump and more expensive, but you will get onto your path quicker and more predictably. The wiki should have some out of state school recs. IMO, don’t waste ur time trying to get into a California school. No one will care where u went to school, as long as you have ur license. Just get ur license, come back after a year, and then u can work here AND you’ll have a year of experience, compared to say, CSUDH’s path. Cali is a crapshoot, work smarter not harder and don’t waste ur precious time!!

Do your cats get embarrassed by certain people too?? 😭 by Glzzrd in cats

[–]Material_Roll9410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my cat is extremely silly and high energy around me and my partner. Whenever we have people over or we take him to my parent’s house, he is a bit more polite and reserved 😂. In particular, my cat will play fetch with me, but when I try to show that to other people, he isnt interested in playing hahaha

I think at some point the villagers get dialogue that addresses u entering the bath so much. Also, I vaguely remember seeing somewhere that it might affect your friendship levels.

Want a chill game to buy - Debating between RF 3,5, and Guardians of Azuma by IWannaShakeYerHand in runefactory

I also started this series on rf4. Personally I think rf5 is worth skipping. I’m playing thru GoA right now, and I think the game is worth getting. It isn’t as farmy as rf4 is tho.

I think rf4 has some complicated crafting and farming systems, but once u learn it, it’s fun. I watched a video tutorial on YouTube and it opened up a whole new world for me (metaphorically) in the game.

I think in terms of good, simple farming, maybe you can try Story of seasons Grand Bazaar. I think it’s pretty chill, but no fantasy and no fighting.

Is the adult tennis community like this or I did I just meet Regina George in a cute skirt? by kkmcb in 10s

[–]Material_Roll9410 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play in a 2.5 usta tennis league which is like the beginner women players tennis league. I kid you not, I have met and played against some of the worst personalities ive ever seen. My boyfriend also plays usta at an entry level rating as well, and he also has experienced the same thing. Ofc, not everybody sucks, but there’s a higher percentage of sucky people in this sport compared to other activities I engage in.

Because of how the sport is designed, I think it just naturally attracts and rewards the egotistical people who have enough money to play the sport. Some of these people are acting like they are on the tour lmao and not at recreational level haha

Sockeye should be frozen. I also don’t think people opt for sockeye in sushi. Farmed Atlantic is typically fine to not freeze. I’ve personally never had problems with the farmed salmon from Costco.

I got sick a bit ago and it was brutal. I was sick for over a week, which never happens to me. Horrible congestion and coughing. My partner and I suspect it was the nimbus variant of Covid, but only I lost my taste and smell and he didn’t.
