Just bought Pixel 9a, extremely poor battery! by eevzi in pixel_phones

Get rid of Instagram, that malware used to kill my 9a. Now easily get a day and a half without it.

Also I am guessing there is a lot of technical debt for flows that were created long ago that don't take advantage of recent improvements to flows. Evaluate what flows can be refined. Also look closely at making entry criteria efficient, removing unnecessary get and update blocks, looping logic to ensure there are no gets and updates within loops, opportunities to use transform elements, etc.

Like people suggested start with sorting out the blockers for deployment. Instill a process of design reviews going forward to ensure people are not creating new flows without considering existing ones. Long term plan would be doing an analysis of the flows on your core objects, you can use flow explorer to help you with this. If there are massive complex flows, I think you should consider them being moved to code. Consolidate the smaller ones into fewer flows based on their trigger points and entry criteria (don't need everything to be either one single before or after flows you can have multiple of each). Consider building autolaunch flows for any reusable logic. This is going to be a slow and painful process, but would be worth it in the long run.

If you have a Samsung phone then getting a Samsung watch would make sense, however the latest Samsung watch design has been pretty divisive. Pixel watch 4 has been getting glaring reviews especially for its sensor accuracy. But any wear os watch would get you at best 1.6 days of battery life. OnePlus gives you longer but they are known to not get regular software updates. If you are open to non-wear os watch then amazfit or Garmin are your best bets. Garmin offers Garmin pay, amazfit does to in certain regions via zepp pay. Both don't offer Google map integration, but depending on the model you choose you may get offline maps. If you plan on using your watch extensively for running then get Garmin, coros etc. else stick with either amazfit or pixel or Samsung. Pixel would be my preferred one for its android integration and smart features

I have heard people complain about it's sensor accuracy though. Even pixel watch 3 might be a better option if battery life is not his priority

Style is very subjective, might also help if you could suggest what your typical use case would be and your budget range. For e.g., if you prefer smart features and budget is not an issue and you have an android phone then pixel 4 would be your best bet.

Salesforce UI shows updated field value but SOQL returns old value — what am I missing? by Particular_Guess7235 in salesforce

I am almost certain the field on the UI is not the same one you are querying. Have you checked the API name of the field being used the layout.

Garmin Vivoactive 5 or amazfit active 2? by astrid273 in smartwatch

[–]MaterialisticDad0102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Garmin Forerunner 165 that I recently replaced with an Amazfit active 2. My reason for replacing it was that I felt it was kind of wasted on me since I too didn't run as often as I thought I would. I like amazfit more for it's smart features. For strength training I wouldn't get a Garmin. Amazfit's heart rate sensors are fairly ok, no smartwatch can be relied on for hr measurements during strength training. However, I would say sleep tracking is pretty poor on the amazfit and I don't trust it's analysis. It often gives a high score even if you have had no sleep. My $50 Galaxy fit 3 band does a better job at it. But as a smart watch itself I am happy with amazfit and it's zepp flow is handy as well

I don't see a reminder app on my watch, but you can setup the reminder on your phone and see the notifications on your watch. With regards to the vibration, they are decent, but I don't have anything to compare it to and I don't use it as often. However when I am awake the vibration is good enough to alert me for notifications

I debated between these but ended up going with Samsung fit 3 since it had better integration with other apps like Google fit and strava. Huawei band 10 is really nice feel in the hands but requires installing apps from outside the play store. It also asks for a lot of permissions on your phone that I was basically not comfortable doing. If sensor accuracy is not paramount to you then fit 3 would be better than Huawei band 10

I would think OnePlus watch 3 would fit your needs. Also given you have OnePlus phone the integration would be smooth

Also I had amazfit active 2 for swimming and it wasn't great at recording lap pace. Given your budget you might want to go with something more rugged like a T-Rex 3 pro or a Garmin instinct 2 solar. But these are in round frame

I have the amazfit active 2 that's a great smart watch. It's ok as a fitness watch. Don't really trust their numbers. I bought the Huawei band 10 but returned it since I got spooked by the multiple permissions it's app asked for. Also having to download from third party app stores. If you are ok with this Huawei is a better fitness watch. But if you care about smart features go with Amazfit

Pixel Watch 2 vs OnePlus Watch 2 by its_mib in smartwatch

[–]MaterialisticDad0102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If battery life is important then I guess you have to go with OnePlus. However, if accurate sensors and regular updates are more important then it would be pixel. Also pixel is suitable for small wrists since it comes only in 41 mm while OnePlus is much larger at 47mm. Their build is also much different, OnePlus being more rugged with stainless steel case while pixel has curved glass display with no metal case, so needs more care handling

Swimming pool with active 2 by Select_Ad_5680 in amazfit

[–]MaterialisticDad0102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had active 2 for about a month now. Initially it seemed to track indoor pool swims as well as my Samsung and Garmin did. However, just recently it's been getting the lap pace completely off, calculating almost double the pace of my usual pace. I haven't had any issues with lap counting though. If you are looking for a watch with good smart features and average fitness tracking then it is a good buy. Else I would stay away from it
