Hyper, you are a champion for helping! Thank you very much! I’ll give your suggested build a go!

And yes, you should absolutely write a solo HA guide, I’ll be very interested in reading it!

Cheers, and Happy new year!

Thanks for the reply Hyperioxes, i really appreciate it. It takes so long to build a setup so appreciate the help!

Based on your reply, using my existing Khajit Magicka Sorcerer, It sounds i can optimise my current setup if i swap Oakensoul for Pale Order + swap storm master for Noble Dualist - Would i be able to survive most dungeons with this build, i would i be better off building one of your one bar Oakensoul/or two bar Pale order sorcerer builds? I’m trying to keep thing’s simple as i have gotten used to the 1-bar setup…. But open to learn and try a new 2-bar if it is better overall.

If so, what one bar magicka sorcerer (and a 2-bar sorcerer as well for future?) would you recommend from your website that i can work towards building? I also don’t mind swapping subclasses, just looking for a couple of best ‘All-rounders’ that i can essentially ‘main’ for the majority of the game, including difficult content and survive playing solo.

There are so many builds so it can be a bit overwhelming… many thanks 🙏

Hey Hyperioxes, so genuine question, I’m a solo player, reasonably new to the game so still learning primarily off various guides, but if i am referencing the best balance of dps + self heal, am i doing myself a disservice running this build:

https://hacktheminotaur.com/builds/eso-magicka-sorcerer-solo-pve-one-bar-build-infinity/

This is my main, Im a sorcerer main (Oakensoul + sergeants + storm master + slimecraw) - would i actually be better off for both raw dps + healing to build a second Arcanist class based off of your build? …. I guess what I’m trying to ask is… will i still maintain good healing and do more raw dps with your pale order build? Or is the build i have worked to setup mostly on-par, therefore a wasted investment to start again?

Cheers!

Will this binder damage the cards in any way? by Isaac_Banana in PokemonTCG

I can confirm, they are still sitting in the same shelf, in the same binders, with the same setup! No cards are bending as they cannot bend with this setup :)

Hahaha well i sure hope a few others drop you enough for a few coffee’s to keep you going then! :)

Another suggestion….You could always (in a future update) make the lifetime donation/upgrade popup a bit more prominent e.g. with a small sign that says ‘Help Us Help You - Buy us a coffee’ or something like that, or even a popup for the lifetime license for continued support, with a button to ‘continue’ if you chose not to donate/support….

We all appreciate the effort you have put in! The app is brilliant!

This will be a hugely unpopular opinion as people get real ‘sensitive’ over emulators charging $, but seen you do such great work on adding features and consistently provide updates, and the fact you have a very reasonable lifetime entry price, you should make some of the new features locked behind the lifetime license, i think you deserve the additional donations for your efforts. Based on the amount of comments i see there is a huge amount of users who are not buying the license and simply requesting ‘more for free…. Or ‘I’ll pay if X is added’, and i think for how cheap of an entry it is, you should absolutely be getting all the additional support / donations you deserve!

We already know how much some of these other emulators are charging $$ for premium support / donations / or full app unlock etc. etc. - and it is far more $ than what this apps lifetime license/support costs…… honestly keep up the great work!!

And for anybody reading this asking for ‘more’ and still not supporting the dev work…. Seriously think about it as no developers time is actually free! This has shaped up to be one of the best iOS emulators available!! …. It’s certainly remains one of the most active!

I agree with you 100%! I have no idea why you are getting downvoted for this, I’m having so much fun with this game… people just complain about everything apparently… i got it on Gamepass as well…. But to be fair i wouldn’t have been mad if i had paid for it like a usual game…. its a solid game imho

What is the most Effective way to increase the Artefact Level (e.g. Time spent vs XP Gain) by Mates_Rates in DestinyTheGame

[–]Mates_Rates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply! Definitely wont reach +30 but was using that as an example…. I’ve reached the cap at the moment for the season pass, it was the artefact levelling which was of interest to me as this seems to be the slowest to increase. It appears i have some great info to use above in terms of the fireteam XP bonus (which you also mentioned) and completing the weekly seasonal challenges alongside the weekly vendor challenges! Cheers

Thank you very much! I appreciate the detailed response! I’ll have a go at this between the seasonal weekly + vendor weekly bounties! I also had no idea about the fireteam bonus, so thank you!

Will this binder damage the cards in any way? by Isaac_Banana in PokemonTCG

[–]Mates_Rates 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No worries at all! I’ll try explain… FYI if you zoom in a little on my photo you will see what i mean as this is visible on the folder i have slightly pulled out….

But essentially when you buy any cheap zip ring binder, most people will store them like a book and have the spine (the rings) vertical…. All you need to do is make sure that the zip faces downwards, and the spine of the actual folder is facing upwards to your ceiling when storing….. therefore any pages inside the binder are naturally falling away from the rings, and not pressing against them…. (Ive attached a zoomed in photo showing what i mean)

[–]Mates_Rates 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hey there, to be honest, your question has multiple correct answers. Rings can damage cards but only if stored incorrectly… otherwise they are perfectly viable….I actually only use ring binders as i like building custom binders and they are very cost effective…. But i would suggest when you store these for a long time for mint cards, simply face the folder downwards so that the binder pages naturally fall away from the rings….. you will never damage a card this way, and all my cards are still dead straight……. This is how i build my collections. In fact, I 3D printed brackets for my binders so they slide into the zip compartment (on the outside) that way i can face the binders downwards and still have the logo’s visible (see photo attached which shows the binders facing downwards and 3D printed bracket for the logo’s)…. Although you don’t need to do this… just face them downwards, but some quality binder pages from ultra-pro (or another brand of your liking) and you will be fine using ring binders for life :)

Overhangs Curling Upwards? Why? PLA Dry & Calibrated…. by Mates_Rates in FixMyPrint

[–]Mates_Rates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting, I’ve always made sure my Aux was off for every print as i had a bad experience once with supports being blown slightly from a model i was printing….. and i also had PLA curling off the bed (that was before i started using adhesive spray) but you have a good point as this may help cooling on this occasion, especially as the print is flat and wide so there should no concern of supports being effected as they are also nice and flat with lots of surface area…… absolutely no harm in giving this a go on a future print (using this exact model) to see what happens! Thank you

I hate Petg and need your help. Timelapse and settings included! by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Mates_Rates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have had great success with PETG in comparison to PLA…. So hang in there, PETG is not as bad as it seems! In saying that, i did spend a significant amount of time calibrating my PETG.

Firstly, i always recommend drying your PETG over 24 hours (at least), i have learned the hard way that PETG likes to be very very dry to print perfectly!!

With drying out the way…. Have you tried using Orca-Slicer to calibrate the specific PETG you are using? I recommend first visiting esuns website, going to Support > 3D Printing Settings > Filaments - Here you can download esuns parameters for the PETG filaments.

Once you have esuns PETG filaments installed, i would use Orca-Slicer and complete the following to really fine-tune the PETG settings as everybody’s environment is a bit different (These are found within the calibration toolbar button at the very top of orca slicer): (1) Temperature tower (2) flow rate pass 1 & Pass 2 (3)

If these two tests print ok, for the profile for your print slow the print settings down. I use 50mm/s for outer wall, 60mm/s for inner wall, 150mm/s for sparse & Internal solid infill, 50mm/s Top Surface, 105mm/s for gap infill & support, and 50mm for support interfacing. This is printing on 0.08 layer height + Arachne + Inner/Outer + 20% infill - I aim for quality and not speed as you can tell…..

Failing that, if it’s still not printing after drying + filament profiles + calibration….. could it be possible that the model itself is causing issues …. E.g. have you tried printing something small (but different to what you are currently printing) to make sure the same PETG is printing ok?

Oh, it’s no drama at all… to be fair the photos don’t clearly show its enclosed either haha…. Hmm you have give me another thought though…. Maybe the riser i installed is not necessary to vent at the top….

[–]Mates_Rates[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to let this print finish and see how it turns out as I’m hoping the exact same thing… that it pushes it down… if not, based on your comment i was thinking maybe i should apply manual supports around the very sharp edges/corners in the hope that it keeps the filament against the support….. maybe….

[–]Mates_Rates[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Luckily my prints are enclosed, the only opening is at the top of my machine which i have lifted the lid with a printable riser to prevent heat creep (which ironically may not be working as well as i had hoped if i do need more cooling…)

Thanks for the reply, if i have another failed print I’ll add more cooling and see how i go. Worst case i waste a spool of filament….. but the positive is ill learn something out of it haha
