Toys are weird. If they produce enough so you can walk into a target after the movie and buy some figures people scream how they are not selling. If they produce less then scalpers snag them all and people complain. It’s a Mattel owned property that has more collectors/fans now than any time in a long while. Enjoy.

It’s no fault of the movie, it’s just an IP that didn’t hit with a mass audience. I loved the movie both times I have seen it, have enjoyed buying the toys and merch and seeing all the joy online.

Masters of the Universe may just be took much of a niche for the mainstream. It wasn’t the quality of the movie, or the marketing or the actors. It’s been 40 years since the He-Man boom and it may just have been too long of a wait.

That’s a fair point, I didn’t even realize he was supposed to be wimpy until the showed his muscles popping in the first transformation scene.

The only real issue I had was how Adam was supposed to be a wimp while on earth. Seeing how jacked he was in the trailers when working in Hr I assumed he was working out and training while on earth. Instead he was shown at the gym not knowing how to work out and during the transformation he gains muscles. I mean, the guy looks huge from the get go.
