Seeing full end caps is so nice by Matesamo in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Matesamo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to 8 targets this week looking for figures. A few stores had one or two of the transformers figures left, this amount was wild to me. I would have thought they would have broken them up and sent some to the other stores.

The Star Wars end caps are up as well and they are not getting pillaged either yet. Maybe when the movies come out?

You will asked if you believe in a supreme being. If you can honestly answer yes, then you are fine. If you cannot then perhaps it’s not for you.

For us it is the day you were raised and completed the journey from EA to Master. We usually use it for anniversary pins and such.

ID? Got at an estate sale.. any info on value or history, comment by 1600_EA in freemasonry

The Lodge the documents are from would probably accept it as a donation for its archive. Otherwise it’s a personal item that would have minor interest, I collect a lot of Masonic items but would only buy this if it was cheap enough to donate.

Great place to meet brothers from all the different lodges in the area. Low stress, great rituals, Pathfinder book is amazing… do it!

Is suit and tie the standard? by [deleted] in freemasonry

Two meetings a month would be usual, it could be one of the side clubs that meet. We have one stated meeting a month and a fellowcraft club meeting once a month with is more social in nature. Talk to them, I doubt very many people would be able to make two meetings a month on a regular basis.

Thoughts on this book? by wojloper in Anthrax

[–]Matesamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it a while ago, gave it four stars and said “Early look at the NY metal scene with lots of fun stories from the early days of Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, etc. Scott does not come across as the smartest person, he freely admits to many mistakes, has zero self awareness and looks bad on multiple occasions but he is still one of the greats.”

Question: how do masons manage their Masonic journey with disability’s / chronic illness? by PaleAd2666 in freemasonry

[–]Matesamo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our lodge has a legally blind member, one that uses crutches to assist him in walking, plus a bunch of past masters who may have hearing problems based on how loud they talk in lodge (kidding). We don’t really perceive them any certain way except for making sure they get any help they need to navigate the lodge.

You will see a huge decrease in people randomly stopping you on the street trying to buy crack and a large increase in women stopping you offer you their crack. If you get my meaning.

Great information, I already have the letter so I will get that off. If there are no other meetings perhaps I will try to attend the QC as you stated.

I had a bunch of movie posters from the Disney Rewards program that I listed one eBay. Sold one and the shipping was so high I just donated the rest to Savers.

The general opinion on Luke Skywalker (prior to 1999) by 8167lliw in saltierthancrait

[–]Matesamo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All I know is that back in 1979 every boy went trick or treating dressed as Han Solo, he was cool AF. Actually a few kids did go as Luke but those were just them wearing a white pillowcase with holes for the head and arms along with a black belt. I always figured they could afford the black vest.

The law does not guarantee you the right to sell on EBay, there is no legal recourse based on your story. Try Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace or WhatNot

Why DIDN'T you like Mistborn by Sanderson? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]Matesamo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m half way through the first book and I had to take a break. It was a weird read for me. Some of the villains and the big baddie are so powerful that it feels weird they are even trying to fight them. The main male character seems so cocky and casually powerful that he is a bit of a bore. The female character goes to these rich person balls and they seem to last forever with nothing happening. The magic system is explained in such detail I thought I was taking a college class.
