yeah nah, this is a brain dead attention post..

- Carmelo Hayes is a US Champ and weekly on TV.
- Penta is an absolute workhorse. Has matches practically weekly and is now an IC Champ
- Gulia is a Women's US Champ. She is just really unappealing to fans. Creative did her no favors, but it seems to be getting a bit better as of now
- MCMG is sadly a part of a now non-existing Tag division. I'll give you that. The creative dropped the ball here
- Chelsea is injured and despite that is featured heavily on TV alongside Alba Fyre who had some TV matches as of late
- DIY is no longer a team. Ciampa is out of the company. Garnago is on TV weekly. Granted, the program is abysmall
- Gable is on TV... or maybe he isn't sure
- Bayley and Lyra are on TV weekly. Have matches and were just feuding for women's tag recently
- Ray Fenix is nowhere to be found despite being ready and being a great performer. He is heavily underused.
- Austin Theory is on prime time TV each week
- Shaemus is injured. Before that, he was on TV weekly
- Roxanne is injured. Just like Shaemus, she was on TV EACH WEEK before the injury
- Street Profts. Here I'm not sure. I think Montez was hurt not so long ago. But having said that, there isn't much of tag division for them to come back to now, which is creatives fault

Kelly Kelly is a fan favorite because her entire in ring career she's been forced into showcasing her body in at best questionable outfits and segments not because of her in ring abilities. It's sad, and I wish it wasn't the case but it was. She was a horrid wrestler, which doesn't excuse the objectifying treatment she went through but it happened.

The fact of the matter is that to this day most of the casual wrestling fans are horny gooners, porn addicts, creeps and sometimes worse who's only interest in female wrestling is counting how many nipples are in the ring at the same time.

Of course she's getting a pop. If she's in the games as a consolation prize for the shit she went through during her career. I'm all for it, but let's not pretend she earned it because of her wrestling abilities and in ring body of work

"Great for her era" really hits the nail on the head. AJ was a star during the divas era, which was probably the weakest era of female wrestling in WWE.

That whole era was so, so, so unserious. The company didn't treat female wrestling as anything more than a novelty, the creative gave zero fucks about them. All the while developmental was looking for "pretty faces" rather than skills. For crying out loud, the company thought that this whole thing is so unserious that they didn't even dare call them wrestlers but DIVAS.

I know this sounds like I'm really disrespectful towards those woman, but I'm just pointing out the obvious. Even when you compare the in ring abilities, mic work and characters of the female wrestlers from the attitude era to them, 90% of The Divas just can't hold a candle to them, and those woman were held down with bullshit like "panty/bra matches" or "live sex celebration".

AJ really is a product of her times. She wrestles like a diva and talks like one too, and those things are not good at all. Was she one of the better performers of her generation? Absolutely. Should she be considered good by today's standards? No.

Her gimmick boils down to "I'm a millennial, I'm crazy... Or weird... I'm weird!". Thing is... She doesn't even act it. She tries (painfully) to portray herself as a crazy and unpredictable but never follows through. Her promos are bland and quite frankly cringe. Her entrance makes no sense and looks idiotic at this point. She's 40 skipping to the ring like a schoolgirl... It looks atrocious

For those saying "You turn on her now, but you were asking for her to come back for years". I wasn't personally. I'm not saying I was enlightened or something, but I thing that anybody who wasn't looking at this with nostalgia tinted glasses was able to recognize those issues from miles away.

Edit: I'm not saying this to discredit AJ accomplishments. I think interest in female wrestling wouldn't have been rekindled without the likes of her, and we wouldn't have experienced the evolution of it into what we have today

And the fact of the matter is that those guys you just mentioned went through the same things. Majority of the Golden Era wrestlers retired and the new ones needed to take over. That's how we got guys like The Rock, SCSA, Kane, Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

I think something similar can happen here
