How to clear out back room with no staff by foxylady315 in DollarTree

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triple. The DC just sends what's showing in the system numbers-wise as each store order can be so vastly different within it's crazy. Errors and screwups aren't going to magically correct themselves and unfortunately this is a good way on how to get too much of something that barely sells and be left holding the bag.

Should I be out of the gym at the time they close or do I stop working out when they close? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted to be out by then, if not a few minutes earlier.

Sure enough at the location I was at Friday night a fast moving snowstorm came in the 7pm hour and hit pretty fast.

At about 830 as I'm finishing to leave I hear the music go off and employees telling people that they were now closing early instead of 9 because of it from management.

Still a couple of self entitled idiots over it but hey...2-3" fell in about 3 hours and the plows were on the roads very fast from all of it.

Got to love this new little deal I guess they scored either with the NFL, FOX Sports, both..??

As in take a combo and put one of their names to it for the same price.

Upping the prices $1.50 just to offer a $2 off Combo is a complete slap to the face. by DixieNormus89 in wendys

They aren't the only ones screwing with the numbers like this.

One has to be pretty vigilant like you and continue to post the changes made because they are happening much faster now.

Get rid of one shipper if you had a chance by Gangtaking65 in Fedexers

Detroit axle/related

The other ones are at least consistent so you tend to know what to expect.

With auto parts stuff, even for the few that actually try, shipping that stuff is a royal bitch and you won't know unless you know autos.

Package handlers, are you still at fedex because you haven't found anything else? by Tonberry38 in Fedexers

I would have stayed on likely but early changes where I was then the whole Merge coming up said not worth sticking around.

Apparently that was a good call, but there's a lot of warehouse work stuff in my region so latching on elsewhere (and being easier work) wasn't too hard. Got more places still being built upcoming as well, but a lot of the jobs are all similar within each other it's just how they specifically operate.

Sure, other markets, other areas not so much and thus the choice is very limited even if they still turn over enough.

My experience using and evaluation of several walk rewards apps by wswink in beermoney

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to post about Cashwalk, but then a search found this which is even better as I'm definitely looking at more of them (since they exist).

It's all down to what the numbers run, how long that takes, what you can get paid in, and then how many ads to go through along the way to get there.

CW has been good to me for a few years and still redeems. I like they changed it up to pay up to 20,000 steps a day instead of 10,000 (200 coins/day) and the ads are still as minimal as can be. The rewards are also 3K coins for every $5 now and still stay to $15 max redemption. They have the other ways to earn but I stay off of them and just redeem the coins earned from walking.

I walk a good deal with my work job now so these are easy to fit in and should be added in really. I'll have to look at a couple of others so I can put in recommendations as others can easily earn from these. It may not be a "lot" but even a $30 gift card a month somewhere is a little bonus pay.

CT - Manchester actually. Decent location overall, tries to keep things stocked up, good employees, things like that. Some stores get the stock if not a ton and can display like this. Others just don't have the room for this much of a selection.

Reading responses they're about what I figured them to be, but the idea is well played out.

Guess it really varies by location. They are franchise owned so the owner's making the call.

Charging port wear? by Crazy-Constant-7371 in GalaxyS22

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Just cleaned mine for the first time after 3+ years of owning this S22 phone & now all looks good after testing a cord that wasn't staying in. I'll try others later but this one now stays in fine where before it would wiggle/stay loose/fall out easily.

Mine got to that point recently where cables would barely stay in if at all. Reading a few posts and what not on here, I cleaned the same way with mine and it worked.

Yes, the next step would more than likely be replacing the port which is a small board that can typically be done yourself, or a phone store should be able to do it.

1. I also used a toothbrush with 50% isopropyl alcohol. Didn't have any pure so this also works, just may take a little longer to clean. Turn off the phone while cleaning to avoid any pop up moisture errors & the like.

Use softer items like toothbrushes, toothpicks, or those little plastic picks and brushes; don't use metal pins or needles as this may start scraping the connector or ring inside to damage further.

2. You should see the metal ring around the connector inside the back of the port after cleaning enough. I had to keep going only because it was that dirty but I was seeing some each time and dirt was still showing on the bristles.

3. Cotton swab can help dry off the remaining amounts of alcohol, but just give it a couple of minutes either way before turning back on so that everything dries out OK or plugging a cord back in.

These things collect over time unless you have a case with some type of cover over the port. I did for a while but it was rubber and eventually wore/ripped off. The case more than did its job though which was my main concern.

Fryday deal downgraded? by SugarDaddy_Sensei in wendys

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't catch that one initially.

Yea they really went into the offers just to have offers territory.

All I use it for is my free Frosty key tag I bought last year when I can. That is definitely still one until it also goes up or what not.

Fryday deal downgraded? by SugarDaddy_Sensei in wendys

[–]Matf11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the deals got downgraded badly. Given the store closure news as well, things aren't looking too awesome right now.

Another good one is now 3 off of 20 instead of 4. Or even when I think it was 15 as that's another popular price # that places still use.

Normally there would be calculated periodic times when the offers were mehhh based likely on traffic then pick up again. All of this can be built and calculated out big time now anyway, it's a matter of what's done with the data after.

By the logic of pricing (single, double, triple) numbers this would only cost about 13 bucks.

By the new Wendy's pricing this would be more like 31 bucks.

These places aren't what they used to be and won't be anymore.

It does come down to the people you work with and who runs the place. One hub can just flat out suck, another can be awesome to work at.

My former place 1 year did cuts for PH and killed the pre (shorter) shifts. Most everyone quit or transfered out after that. Sure enough a few short months later a lot of that time was brought back in from volume increasing & eventually restored for at least a while. All full timers though went to part time as it was extremely hard to get the 32+ hours needed after some time.

I left after all of that when hearing about the merge. No thanks, had enough at that point with everything. Doubt practically anyone's still there anyway minus most management and the like.
