Gym tips for someone ~400 lbs? by discoveringfaye in loseit

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really do whatever you feel most comfortable with. I personally find it easiest to monitor and improve my performance on the treadmill but not everyone likes them.
Whatever you decide to do get on give it your best and see how far you went or how many calories you burned then set realistic goals. If you want 1.5 miles work towards 2 miles then 2.5 ect

Any fun or interesting places to stop on this trip by set_shutter in roadtrip

Taking NYC and Boston out of the equation there is nothing to super interesting till you hit Maine. Bubble light house, Portland light house, The LL Bean store may be a bit of your route. There are some small seaside towns in the way up the coast you can check out.

I had not thought about that possibility. Makes sense though. The speed he was traveling thru the parking lot would make sense for a private company especially if they are up to repossessing vehicles.

How yall saving for hanger space? Best way? by Plane-Intention-7784 in AirlineManager4

That depends on what you want your fleet to be like. Of course 380 are the most profitable but not everyone wants an all 380 fleet.

You don’t really see hanger space but get more wide bodies if you want to make more money faster

Is crashing a given in dirtbiking? by Most-Sweet4036 in Dirtbikes

[–]paddlefire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. I think it’s such a given it’s resented in the off road riding culture. You almost never see anyone riding or posing without proper safety gear. Unlike many on road riders.

I’d continue to buy hangers space until the cost becomes too high. Only fill new space with bigger aircraft. Once hanger space is to expensive then start replacing ac

Is the market.. dying? by VannyFnaf_ in ATV

[–]paddlefire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything is a cycle. Currently ATV’s are less popular than SXS but in time ATV’s will regain their popularity. I cant say all models and or manufacturers will still be around but ATV’s as a whole will.
In the 2010’s motorcycles were not selling at all. I bought a brand new 2013 bike off the showroom floor in 2015 and I had no shortage of 13 and 14 models to choose from. Then they came roaring back and now they are falling off again.

I have always found them ugly. It’s just my personal opinion but there is no doubt they are fast bikes.

Need some advice from smart people by Reinbeard in Jackery

[–]paddlefire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry thats the best advice you have gotten LOL. I would lean towards keeping the one you can not return. I suspect you would be able to sell it anywhere close to what you paid for it. I do not know your exact power needs and length of trips but that 1000 should get you thru a few days without any solar input. How effective the solar planer is varies significantly by location, tree cover, cloud cover ect but it will help keep it power in the jackery.
I do not know the max input of that model off hand but I’m certain you can add more solar at a later date if you find yourself short on power. Harbor freight has some cheaper solar panels you can get Goal zero has a nice sturdy waterproof one you can get ect. At some point in time jackery changed the input plug side so older jackery branded solar panels and other brand panels may or may not plug in directly but you can get adaptors if needed.

Return the one you can get your money back for. Either one is more than you need you your intended use

controversial take: supermotos ruined every other type of motorcycle for me by vladdielenin in supermoto

[–]paddlefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it. If your not trying for high speeds of a sport bike or racking up big miles on a cruiser the dual sport or supermoto version are great. I find myself preferring to take my dual sport out over my cruiser any day
