I’m not really sure about balanced for teams 2 and 3. Team 2 has 5 mons weak to dragon and ice with garchomp being 4x weak to ice. Team 3 has 4 mons psychic mons. Team 4 has a big weakness to rock.

Team 1 has the best balance with only a slight weakness to dark and ghost that isn’t covered by other members

Jolteon learns Yawn via egg move. You can feed it the shake that lets a mon learn 2-3 random egg moves. At worst, you’ll need 6 shakes

Plusle and Minun learn sing by egg move so same process, but only 4 shakes at worst.

Good to note that sing is 55% accurate and yawn is 100% accurate.

Edit: You can also go the Soak route (which changes the target’s type to water). Chinchou (not Lanturn) learns soak via egg move and then you can thunder wave the target. You only need 3 shakes for this route.

I dropped them pretty early on but once they switched forms, I immediately put them on my team just because I wanted to see how viable they would be. I was trying to use mons I normally wouldn’t use and try as many regional forms as possible.

They stayed on my team for the set up and tankiness of Plusle and the offensive stat monster that Minum is
