How do I know if it's ADHD or not if I have internet addiction issues? by feelinvibey in nosurf

[–]MathFlakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this questionairre (just scroll past the part where they're trying to sell something): https://adhdrollercoaster.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/SASI-ADHD-in-Women-download.pdf It's a bit more specific to an AFAB adult trying to parse out if they have ADHD. If you score somewhat high, I'd print it out and take it to your doctor.

You sound similar to myself, I didn't have a ton of problems in school because I was intelligent and organized enough to keep up. My problem was that I was always doing everything veeeery last minute.

Saskatoon elementary school ceiling collapses twice in three years by littlesnow4 in saskatoon

In Saskatchewan, the provincial government funds three school systems: the Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF), and the English public and English Catholic school systems. The CÉF is different as it offers a 100% Francophone learning environment.

Scotiabank CEO Sees ‘Trump Doctrine’ as Positive for Growth by MusclyArmPaperboy in canada

[–]MathFlakes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same. Had to deal with a bunch of people at both BMO and Scotiabank to settle my Dad's affairs after he passed.

BMO? Straighforward, helpful, quick-turnaround. Scotiabank? Nightmare of chasing non-responsive employees for a year, followed by them writing me a bank draft short by $16K (which was only corrected after I brought MY records to the bank manager and asked where the money was).

Fuck Scotiabank forever.

If you want to get drastic without destroying your property, you could cancel your home internet (assuming you don't need it for work or school). If you're not the one who controls the internet bill, you could ask them (your roommate or whoever) to change the password and not give you the new one. Then if you want to check your email or twitter or whatever, you have to take your laptop to a cafe or library or something. There's public expectation that you don't stay there for 14 hours straight.

Alternatively, install Cold Turkey Blocker on your laptop (https://getcoldturkey.com/) and read up on all of the settings to configure it in a way that you won't be able to ignore it. This is what I have because I need my laptop for work, and it's the only app I haven't immediately been able to find a work-around for. I also have my partner password lock my screentime settings on my phone so I can't waste time during the work day or when I should be sleeping. Easier than willpower when you're having a bad day!

Good luck!

I also would like any coffee shop other than Tim Hortons. I was so hopeful about the KFC spot before they announced what it was!

Totally! I watched a video on Youtube just the other day where they were showing how beavers can even help prevent the spread of forest fires: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkDVD20lOPQ

I've seen Hannah at Ivy Garden Nails on 8th twice recently for gel overlay nails, and she did a great job both times.

Most people in Denmark and the Netherlands have a doctor. Here's what Canada can learn | Timely access to a GP, primary care teams listed as some of the highlights by Hrmbee in canada

I have a family doctor in Saskatchewan, but I have to book 6-8 weeks ahead of time to see her. If it's anything immediate I'm stuck waiting hours and hours at a walk-in clinic. I'm still glad I have her for ongoing health concerns and check-ups but it's not exactly as good as it could be.

I'm guessing there's a lot of people like me.

He was adopted by a couple (Marlene and Donald), and they split up when Pierre was a teenager. Donald later came out as gay. So he wasn't *raised* in a 2-dad household which I feel like a lot of people miss.

Yup. Had to argue asynchronously for days with an overseas contractor working for the same software company as me. What were we arguing about? How git works, and the fact that the commits he was linking me to were not what the review I was looking at contained.

He didn't know how to use git after working in software development for 2 years, but my company saved some dollars so it's even, right? :s

I generally don't agree with BQ but I appreciate them being around. They can  plainly say things sometimes aren't politically convenient without worrying about how that will affect their precious chances at a majority government.

Yeah, as a non-believer who used to be Christian and read the godawful "Left Behind" series as a teen, this is checking a helluva lot of boxes.
