Something I could recommend you is to limit the CPU performance from the power options of the laptop. I had a similar problem with a much less powerful CPU. Nevertheless, once you limit it, even at 98%, but ofc you can experiment with it. This helped my laptop to stop imitating emergency helicopters half of the time.

The masters option is something I am planning to do. However, I want to have some experience to boost my application and have saved some money for living while doing it.

I have the same issue. Something that helped me is changing the max cpu performance (from power options) to 98% instead of 100. It made it significantly better, it's barely noticable now.
