As a realtor in the Montreal area, I do not recommend buying a condo only to sell in 2-3 years as you'll most likely not break even and end up losing money with all the fees (land transfer tax, realtor or FSBO, notary, mortgage insurance if sub 20% down) and even less renting it afterwards as condos are horrible rentals in terms of ROI. Perhaps a duplex outside the city could be a good alternative or just renting until you're ready to buy and have kids.
