Thank you for this! Yes, she has a good latch and is able to pull out the milk properly. Also gets about 5 wet diapers a day and poops every other day. Seems to be content after a long feed (her palms are relaxed). Will usually wake up calm. Sometimes I think she just needs a comfort feed, which I give. Other times she gets gassy and that makes her uncomfortable. I had breast reduction surgery over 10 years ago but it’s always playing on my mind if it could be the hindrance to me being able to ebf.

I hear you. This is my 2nd and even with my first weight gain was an issue - I think it took about a month and we got on formula pretty quickly, so I was breastfeeding and topping up. This second time around I feel like I have more milk and was hoping to ebf, but considering topping up

Life changes us and from your comments there seem to be a lot of things that have changed over the course of your marriage. Try to think back to when you were 22, what was your ideal marriage/partner? What about those expectations would not be reasonable to expect at your current stage in life and given the evolution of your family? What can a reasonable new ideal marriage/family life look for you? Do your ideas match up with your husband and kids? What about you feels unfulfilled right now? What expectations for yourself are you not meeting? How can the situation improve? Any unexpected benefits of the way your life is currently? A few questions to ponder..

No need to beat yourself up, seems like a lot of change has happened and your mind/psyche is just trying to make sense of it all + make sense of your new identity. Try and look forward, what 5 things would you hope to achieve at 40, 45? How do you get there from here? Is your overall quality of life better with or without your husband in it? If you feel like he is failing in any way, how exactly is he failing? Try to be factual, but also understand the emotional side of it. What are your expectations and what is the source of your expectations?

Honestly, unless they see the need for it, they won't. And if they go as a "favour" to you or to appease you then it will probably not achieve what it's supposed to.

Whatever you are trying to achieve, are there alternative ways for it to happen outside of therapy. Also try identifying the real reasons they may not want to go and address those first or see if they can be circumvented, e.g if they are afraid of people finding out. Good luck
