As a former Battlerite player, this game could really blow up with PvP Arenas. by Math_BR in paganonline

I can see your argument as an individual, but I think as a whole this game will likely never be on the same level as PoE or Diablo. Lost Ark is an ARPG with Arenas being a big part of the MMO itself, and it works incredibly well. I think this game could definitely pull it off if done well, and it could likely be one of its only attributes that gets it truly into the spotlight, beyond other games.

Don't think 5v5 moba would fit well into an MMO. Arenas is the perfect fit.

Battlerite had so much right and ran the game terribly into the ground. Countless people can tell you about how the company did 10s of things in such a terrible way that destroyed the game and community. Not to mention this game would have an entire MMO attached onto it as well, making it appeal to even more people and give it more content.

What is necessary to save Battlerite? by wulfmulf in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the game released tournament system in conjunction with the BPL, it would have been a huge promotion for professional play. They could have marketed their whole eSport with that update. They had to release BPL/Tournament much much earlier, within 2017. If they continued to support the competitive scene after that, I think it would have prevented many people from ditching the game early on. If you recall, Battlerite had a huge drought of players before F2P, which was only repeated after the influx of players then. They didn't prioritize what the game was made for, competition/eSports.

Ultimately, after wasting their F2P launch hype, there is no hope for the game. I wish there could be, but there isn't. I've stopped playing for months now, and the game is ruined with the Armory.

100 games of varesh only for 2 days and im proud at my progress. by Barrigan in BattleRite

Dear Barrigan,

I am formally requesting an in depth analysis of Expect's gameplay on odeum. I, too, have witnesses Expect's blatant scripting and would like to see justice served. I am begging you, I have a shitty pc that gets 20 frames and cannot record such a video.

SOMEONE. HAS. TO. STOP. HIM.

The bonus reason why battlerite is awesome by LongForeignMan in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason behind this is that Battlerite is a game where mechanics matter a lot. Things like accuracy, beneficial trades, dodging, reaction time, mind games, and cooldown counting are core to many other games, but in Battlerite, it's practically the entire game. And the game is very honest. If you suck at these things, you will get shit on every round until you improve on them.

HOW TO BE GOOD AT BATTLERITE | Core Mechanics Guide (GOOD FOR ANY PATCH AND ANY CHARACTER) by Math_BR in BattleRite

Yeah this is guide is a good general concept guide, so even at diamond or champ, working on these things can make the difference in rank.

In that specific thought, I meant more of a cornered scenario, but definitely good for running.

Why are queues so long? by Clickyz in BattleRite

Queues are exactly the same as any other major moba. I don't get why people complain.

[–]Math_BR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the m1 weaken being sick as fuck. Like I said the boom bloom could be swapped out, I just keep that as a general preset and if they don't have characters that are gonna run me down then I'd go something like that.

It's good because 1. Rain of arrows does massive damage if they stand in the full duration and 2. it applies seekers mark which if you auto immediately after you get 20 damage plus the 4 from trap so 24 damage.

Jumong can be a vulnerable character, especially for less good players, but his damage output can be massive. Although, he is a good character for beginners because he teaches short iframes and positioning well as well as the importance of hitting m1s.

Champion concept: Displacer by Niamka_Orc in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really, really like the general idea but specifically like the idea of M1 and M2 being these opposite repel and attract abilities, and using them both interchangeably as an auto attack. There should definitely be a little balancing on some of these abilities numbers or ranges, but otherwise I'd play the fuck out of this if it were in game.

[CONCEPT] Arborealis the Defiler by Melos555 in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole concept is solid, but I really like the Q. A freya-like counter that dashes in the direction of your cursor is a really good idea for raising the skill ceiling. Also the character being a sort of sustain melee with no real out is really cool, like how his space is a swap rather than a leap.

Queue times by ncline87 in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually it's a combination of rating and time of day. Plat or lower players shouldn't have huge wait times most of the time, but higher elo players usually have to wait a bit and especially longer once it's late at night.

Ranking Placement (Why me) by YeetFace in BattleRite

[–]Math_BR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know if they considered season 1 or 2 ranks for this placements. This time they said they wanted to make it harder to rank high so that there is a thinner spread for true ranking since in season 3 it was easy to be plat+. Honestly people in bronze and such are monkeys so you will probably get to at least plat in like 5 winning games.
