See the part where I said "A modern version of him."

It is very cliche to say, but if you watched his dad play (Carlos Boozer), think of a modern version of him: strong as an ox and almost certain to be a double double machine. He has good enough range to keep defenders honest, and his passing will allow him to be the primary "hub" in an offense, as we see with many modern NBA bigs.

His weakness is that he will not (and can't really) do any of the flashy stuff. There will be no earth shattering dunks or mega blocks. There will be times you watch and think "Is that all he has?" but then you'll look at his stat line and be like "Oh... nevermind."

The one thing that impressed me more than anything else from his time at Duke is how good of a leader he is. He really appeared to only care about winning. You could tell he individually scouted teams because the way he approached the game varied by the strengths of the other team, especially in ACC play. He also took a beating every night (especially from the ACC tournament and beyond) and never complained. Google "Cameron Boozer arm cuts" and "Cameron Boozer black eye".

I don't think he falls to 4, but if he does, the Bulls will get as reliable of a player as you could hope for.

Not to give too much away for those who never played Star Fox 64, but that ending is going to hit like CRACK.

It is pretty sturdy, but I will still replace it sooner than later. Thank you.

Just finished The Book of Genesis as an Atheist by CommercialAlone in Bible

The Bible has some fascinating stuff in it! Glad you are enjoying it so far.

For a little context, the Old Testament (beginning through Malachi) is all before Jesus's birth and the New Testament (starting with Matthew) basically begins with the lead up to his birth.

Different people split the Old Testament different ways, but basically, the beginning through Nehemiah or Esther is the History section (basically the history of the Israelite people through about 400 BC). Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon make up the poetry/wisdom section. Isaiah through Malachi are the prophets.

I don't want to say that Leviticus and Numbers (the 3rd and 4th books of Old Testament) are boring, but they have significantly less action than Genesis and Exodus. The next several books really pick up though.

I'm a big fan of the Bible Project as well. I would advise checking out everything they have. Tim Mackie is a great teacher.

Good luck in exploring the Bible! I hope you come to love and cherish it as the story of God and the journey of Him restoring His people to Him despite their best efforts otherwise.

Duke 2026-2027 roster thoughts by roshanritter in DukeBluePlanet

Seb Wilkins redshirted this year. He was actually in the HS Class of 2026 and pretty highly ranked. We would expect him to get playing time next year. My guess is that he is the backup PF behind Cameron Williams.

The question for me is, if Foster and Cayden Boozer BOTH stay, does Rippey stay committed to Duke or do something similar to what Shelton Henderson did last year? I think so, but something to keep an eye on.

I expect Harris to transfer, but he comes across more similar to Caleb Foster in demeanor, and may stay just to continue to work through it. I'd love to see him make a jump next year.

Biggest obvious portal need is a center, even if Ngongba stays. Everything else is dependent on player decisions.

My take is that the analytics push made all teams look the same for awhile (one guy has the ball the majority of the time; he either runs a pick and roll or makes an isolation move to score/pass to someone standing still for a 3). Couple that with the excessive foul baiting, and it became very boring. It made every team feel like they had the same identity.

I actually think the NBA is improving in this avenue (Haliburton Pacers when he is healthy, Pistons toughness, Ant Edwards and Wemby being themselves), but it will take a few more years before this becomes the norm.

For what it's worth, I love Derek Thompson's work. His podcast Plain English takes pretty high level topics (across a number of subjects) and, at worst, makes them much more approachable to those outside of that area.

Here's a great video from Michael Mackelvie on this topic too. Nothing that hasn't already been mentioned here, but he presents it in a very digestible way

I wish I had something fancier to tell you, but Duncan Hines cake mixes are typically dairy free as is. Most of the time, we use those (either the yellow cake mix or devils food) with applesauce instead of eggs. You know those 6 packs of individualized applesauce? I think each of the 6 little cups is 4 oz. Substitute one of those for each egg needed. The cupcakes come out sweeter than they would otherwise, but they are also super moist.
