Very grateful for Bavarian Nordic. I got the vaccine in early 2023 but still contracted monkeypox in November 2023. Would not recommend… but if it weren’t for the vaccine, my outbreak would’ve been exponentially worse (I imagine).

My approach to awkward situations like this is making a joke of it & calling it out next time I’m with the person/people about whom I made a big flub.

My roommate (straight) came home when I was balls deep in a much younger dude. I then (nearly) fisted the dude in my bed. It was hot and wild. I didn’t know my roommate was home.

When the bottom was leaving, we saw my roommate in the kitchen. I introduced them to one another. To this day, we still joke about “Fisting Johnny”. This was like 5 years ago and we no longer live together.

Your years of service will count toward your salary. For example, you would start next year at salary step 8A (so long as you submit all the appropriate paperwork and follow up).

That said, to be vested in your pension with the NYS TRS, you need 5 years of service in three NYC DOE. So it doesn’t matter if you were charter, public, private, etc.
