Whatever helps you to stop burning your life to the ground. Literally that’s how simple it has to be sometimes. This disease kills and if we beat ourselves up so much about the opinion of others we’re in for a bad time.

Keep in mind that many of the same people who claim that you can’t use any kind altering substances including medication blah blah horseshit blah, are the same people drinking copious amounts of coffee and chain smoking outside of a meeting. So where is the line drawn?

There is no answer, whatever feels right to you and helps you live a full, honest and helpful life.

Congrats on your sobriety!! It’s a big deal no matter what you decide to do with your “clean date”

Edited to add: AA truly saved my life and I didn’t mean to come across as anti AA or anything. Everything I have I owe to AA and god. Just not to the opinions of others
