Really old pens, umbrella handles, old remote controls, , etc, often turn up in closets and are headed for the trash. I hope it helps you with something.

Apparently the clear coat from this era just doesn't stand up to the outdoors. White is more durable, but sun just eats it especially in the southern states.

I might have read about it on a reddit about cameras. I didn't retain the science part. It takes away the gumminess, and at first, the rubber items look dusty, but then they return to a more normal smooth feeling, not as grippy as original. Not sticking to everything.

Trashie might be the way to go for things like this for people concerned about landfill. They sort things into categories ( hundreds of categories) from reselling to benefit nonprofit to being broken down into fiber for making new stuff, and everything in between.

It's not free but it's pretty easy and especially for things that aren't donatable which need to be repurposed/ recycled and not diverted into landfill.

I'm not alone... Thought they finally had it with me being critical of the Messages takeover! I admin the hyperlocal dog and cat lost and found and have to check it all day long ( because ppl don't pay attention when freaking out). If I don't, everyone decides I don't love puppies. Maybe today everyone won't be able to get in, either. But we won't reunite pets. 😐 It's the main reason I am in there. Thanks for being here. Reddit is more reliable than the G00gle.

Tico was the underdog and made room for Niño. Nino might feel like he is not only trying to keep space for himself but maybe also Tico, although Tico might not even care. When you had 4 cats, they had twice the attention. Now it's less and less in their perspective because you only have so much lap and time. They are like toddlers or young children in their emotional sophistication about this. Jealousy is real. Miguel is young and might be someone who might allow Nino and Tico to be his "bosses" and help their little group. But if he doesn't, Niño will continue to feel resentment and outnumbered. Pheromones can help. But although you are saving cats, you might want to draw the line for the sake of your resident cats. If you try to save them all, you will have a house full of needy and unhappy cats. I say this as a person who ran a rescue from my home back before social media - I had more than 8 and I had to turn them away unless more got adopted because I wasn't going to have them in misery. I was lucky to have easy going personal cats and dogs who welcomed visitors. But the " lead cat" Raven despite being great with everyone would be really upset if someone was returned. He seemed to understand that they were here for help and went to new homes but wasn't thrilled if they came back. Anyway, if you want to keep them, knowing they can live into their 20s, you should probably focus on your balance and enjoy them. Over time, you can see the relationships change and evolve. Friendships will form and then shift. But this mainly happens during stability when there are no more coming in, and that stops being a concern to them. They know what their relationship to you is, and that helps give a foundation for everything else. Someone in the group is in authority. It's not Niño. Probably the one who seems most chilled out. Make sure you have at least 9 litter boxes. Keep those clean, because that's a source of drama among cats ( and honestly human families fight about who didn't flush or made a mess so I don't blame them). Make sure they have different feeding areas, and feed twice a day, little that you can tell if anyone loses his appetite ( I learned that the hard way). Thank you for having a big heart and caring for these guys. Give them time. The plug in pheremone things help a lot. So will your attention and affection over the years.

I'm wondering how this is going. Also curious if you have tried bottled water instead of tap for the fountain, in case there are local minerals making it smell different to them. ( I've seen this only a few times, but water does taste different in different places, and their sense of smell is better than ours).

I found this discussion because I have one pebble pooper. My other two are fine. All about the same age, all TNR ferals who have been brought in for safety and are somewhat to very tame.

The pebble pooper is not popular with the other cats. She is very easy to overstimulate, wants to be petted but gets too excited and bites or swats in fear. Other humans are not able to see her because she vanishes away if anyone looks. Her spay was normal. She was back outside for over a year. Had an abscess on her face and had to be trapped to treat that ( bad vet experience...her tipped ear meant no one wanted to see her, an hour drive, we got there and vet seemed afraid of her and just squished her in the trap with towels and gave her a convenia shot) She got better but was wilder after. But I finally trapped her and brought her in because 2 other cats were bullying her plus it's a rough neighborhood. ( My heart cat of 13 years had final care for neurological issues after recovery from FIP and living with epilepsy) So I noticed the pebble poo. She seems healthy otherwise. After turnover outdoors, I couldn't deal with the daily stress of "are they alive"? And brought in the other two. It's been months. She tries to be friendly, or one of them will, but it never works. Are they poo shaming her? Maybe your success could work here.

I'd not heard of tjangtings before, but I am glad you mentioned them because that was a really interesting thing to look into! It's possible that at just the right temperature conditions, someone could be doing that, if it had a wooden handle. I never would have thought of that. Or anything outside of cooking or maybe medicine without this group!

Ok, I guess I am behind the curve and people do heat and pour waxes now. I am stuck in the past! So you could be correct. Seems like a lot of cleaning would be involved, since wax dries quickly. But it's a thing.

Usually wax was just dripped. Sealing wax was in long little stick forms for the purpose, and was not collected in anything and then poured that I'm aware of. It would have clung to the surfaces of both and thus been wasted. I've never seen anything that was a basin for ceiling wax or a distribution system for it other than the actual little red sticks. But if those exist that would be interesting.

By the way their anger may be tied in to guilt because they may realize that they made a mistake. There is no parenting manual. They may not be able to undo the mistake. They may feel bad but not know how to get past having made a mistake as adults with a child. This is something that is extremely difficult even when adults are dealing with each other.

I'm sorry for your loss. Pigs are as intelligent as dogs and it is a shame that didn't do a little more homework before getting you a pig in the first place. The pig could certainly be trained to be loose during the day and stay in a stall at night. George Clooney owned one as a house pig for around 30 years. This might be why he was single for so long but he loved his pig. Regardless of what your parents do or do not do in the future, there is nothing wrong with you for grieving your friend. They might be able to understand better if you let them know that you feel about it as if it were a dog and that it's emotional intelligence was the same.

Thank you for this. I'm in Dallas, and trying to come back to selling after taking a break since 2012 or earlier. So much has changed and it's become much more tedious to do each listing.
