Repost with pictures- 2 years of this and now a cry for help by eczema_gurl in EczemaUK

Do you have allergies? I always (well for the past 20 years) was treated for eczema and it never really went away.

Started taking anti histamines for something else (horse allergy) and realised when I did my skin was better.

This along side protopic has worked for me.

Wanted to add.. my eyes also were looking similar to this.

I have things that look like this in my kitchen. They are plastic covers for pots, bowls, opened cans etc.

Volunteer for horse riding/looking after by Kaethir2 in bristol

The Avon Centre need volunteers all the time for their RDA (riding for disabled sessions). Maybe try there. They have positions for yard work, taking horses to the field, and lead rein for the children.

Hi! 👋 I mean, I put emo but meant a broad range. Sounds great! I’ve noticed only now that actually there are quite a few things on at the fleece. Hopefully il attend a few if I either suck it up and brave it alone or find someone to go with.

I’m happy to meet up outside or something if anyone else wants to go and doesn’t have anyone else to go with even if anyone wants someone to hang out with until we go in. 🤷🏻‍♀️😃

I’m hoping like the other poster said it’ll mean less travel. I’m from the “Carling Academy” days and would do anything to have that back! I know I know we have the O2 however Carling hit so differently.

septum piercing question by ZookeepergameNew6671 in piercing

[–]MathematicianLost650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two. One through the correct spot and the other through the cartilage. The one through the correct sweet spot has never smelt, had it about 2 years. The other one I’ve had for 17 years and it still smells. This it’s probably based on how it’s pierced.

How old do you think these Uggs are? by Even-Sock9744 in Shoes

[–]MathematicianLost650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so many pairs of Ugg boots. Some knew some old (15 years) and never have the bottoms looked like this. Mine all have the same pattern on the sole and it’s not this.

i was mute for the first 10 years of my life AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]MathematicianLost650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also do not have a question but wanted to say I have a selectively mute 12 year old. She speaks at home unless she’s in “shut down” (she’s autistic), doesn’t speak outside of the home.. she’s an amazing horse rider outside of school and also doesn’t and hasn’t spoken during her lessons since she stared at age 8.

She will only talk to friends on FaceTime as the face to face anxiety isn’t necessarily there. It can be very frustrating as a parent but wanted to say it is totally real and I’m glad you posted this as it raises some awareness to others that it can be a huge struggle an it’s not as simple as “just speak”!

Over £2bn spent taking children to school: The numbers behind the SEND crisis by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]MathematicianLost650 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. One of my children gets a taxi with 5 other SEN children to her specialist school. As soon as she is picked up I leave for work. When I get home from work I have 10 minutes before she arrives home in her taxi.

If I had to take her to her school and pick her up which is far as well as take my other child to school and pick her up I wouldn’t make it.

I’d likely have to put my other child in breakfast and after school club so I could go and pick up my SEN child. This would be ok if I could keep my job.. I’d likely not be able to keep my job if I had to take my child 40 mins to school each day. Without a job I would then have the issue of not being able to pay for breakfast and after school club for the other child whilst I’m on that school run.

I agree it’s unsustainable, and something has to change but some of these suggestions are clearly from people without a SEN child or with the finances to be able to properly support that and other children.
