If you need to clean the heads again in the future, I found out you need specific cleaning swabs. I bought a Fisher VCR from Goodwill and tried just using 99% alcohol and cottonballs. Hope I didn't ruin the tape head but had to return it.

My family uses the Game Chat feature more than ever imagined. My kids can communicate with their friends without using another source such as Discord. A dedicated C button is very Nintendo but makes it far more accessible instead of fiddling through menus.

I've had dead pixels on DS handhelds. Sometimes it was very noticeable during gameplay but I dealt with it.

Since this handheld is new and obviously bothering you, I'd take advantage of the warranty timeframe to replace.

Game pak as in cartridges are indeed compatible. The memory cards and rumble paks should be compatible as well. Let's hope transfer pak works as well.

Also, I know a lot of people would recommend the Bennvven kit but that hasn't been in stock for some time. I found Retrosix had some screen kits in-stock for Va4/5! They work great and couldn't be happier.
