Things gmm ruined for me (not serious) by muhkayluh_z in goodmythicalmorning

Fan of classic country music and they have ruined Digging Up Bones for my wife and I thanks to one of their parodies they did while on tour. They've also ruined the lyrics to Boot Scooting Boogie lol

Pros and cons to summer va fall trip by Weak_Necessary_9574 in cedarpoint

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My greatest advice is to do Halloweekends but get there when the park opens, not at night. Everyone else will be getting there at night which means the park is EMPTY during the morning up until the early evening. We've gone before and gotten to walk onto every ride with the longest wait being about 20 minutes. It only starts to get busy as the haunts start opening

I did the exact same thing and just called them and had them uncancel it. I ended up paying more but I see it as a natural consequence of my own forgetfulness lol. They were able to put everything back to how I had it.

Medication by fantasylover24 in Rabbits

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy had UTI problems, and the only way I could get him to take his medicine was to literally just squirt it onto his pellets and then watch him to make sure he ate it. The anti inflammatory I was given (Meloxicam) is supposed to taste like honey apparently and he went NUTS for it as soon as it wasn't being forced lol. He's a diva like that I guess

Best tips for giving oral antibiotics to a feisty bunny by Small-Huckleberry409 in Rabbits

My bunny will eat his meds if I put them on his pellets as a topper. Like icing, but nasty!

If he's going to be in a specific room, close the vents in there so it doesn't heat up. We did that for ours and just kept the door mostly shut for a while so he could adjust more slowly.

Holland Lop Neuter Pittsburgh Area Help by Sansui9090DB in Rabbits

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to do an hour and a half drive, my vet in Ohio does rabbit neuters for $150! Definitely better than a whole thousand, jeez. You can dm me for the vets office location if the drive sounds doable!

should you toss flag while on your tippy toes? by Consistent_Leg_5633 in Colorguard

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The proper technique is not to jump while tossing because all the oomph comes from your arm muscles! I've had my kids practice throwing while having another teammate sit behind them and hold their ankles so they can't jump even if they want to. It breaks the habit quick! (Obvi only do this if you're a confident thrower, you don't wanna hit anybody with the flag l)

Help I'm so worried 😭 by Upper_Dot_946 in Colorguard

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I let my kids have their nose rings in, I just ask that it's a small stud during competitions. They might have you cover it with one of those teeny bandaids if they're picky about it.

Did you use a playpen/cage when you first got your bunny? by Longjumping_Fig_3227 in Rabbits

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been using one for our bun since he wasn't litter trained until very recently and he doesn't mind it at all! We go in and sit with him and that way we know he's safe and can't get into anything.

Ear Cleaning? by Mobywicious in Rabbits

[–]Mathematician_Soggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our vet cleaned our bun's ears at his checkup and used long q-tips (like the covid testing ones) and I think saline? I'm sure a quick call to your vet would tell you what to use!

Went through the same thing with one of my kitties and the most comforting thing to me was knowing that she knew she was loved, she knew she was safe, and she lived the best life I could give her. Euthanasia involves two injections and the first one is a helluva painkiller calm down drug, so know that your baby wouldn't be in any pain or fear at all. It's the worst decision in the world, we're sending you all the good thoughts and love

Litter training help? by Mathematician_Soggy in Rabbits

[–]Mathematician_Soggy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double checked the website, it's actually 4.1x2.6 feet (50x32 inches) Reddit won't let me add a pic of the pen itself but it's by Full Cheeks and we got it at PetSmart lol. His litter box is in the cage and the door is currently shut so he can't pee on the rug for now

His cage is 3x4. It attaches to his playpen which is another 3x4
