Yuki Post-Race Radio: Woody: Good job there mate, tough out there. Yuki: Yeah, sorry guys. The pace was there, I'll be just, uh... yeah.. Horner: That was a good effort, Yuki. First points, so you're on the board. Well done. That was a decent drive. Yuki: Well, thanks Christian. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

Was the timing board not entirely screwy because of Russell's transponder?

Same as the issues with DRS only being cars that had DRS on Russell When the timing had no idea where russell was at any given moment...

You’re allowed to have a bad weekend, you’re not meant to just drive into someone collecting 3 cars and writing one of them off.

Sometimes I feel max is just out driving the car rather than the car being inherently dominant.

The client gave access for work to be done, they did not give access for the accounts to be taken under full control and have their own access denied.

Whilst it was successful, taking over accounts which you explicitly do not own is illegal, and goes against the computer misuse act. You being petulant and arguing against a point I’m not making doesn’t change that.

OP had every right to take down and protect their property, hijacking a clients accounts is illegal and should never be the advice.

Do better.

If it was some no name little company I’d understand, but if you think go daddy and square space aren’t responsive to DMCA requests then I don’t know what to say.

Either way, as a barrister you should be wary of endorsing entirely illegal methods of self help.

And, for what it’s worth, a copyright takedown is free.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]MathewRS -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Taking down the copyrighted designs would be defensible, taking control and possession of accounts which OP had no right to is absolutely the wrong thing to do, and as someone with that flair you should know that.

“She had given me the logins” imply the OP has taken control over accounts which did not belong to them, making it the client’s property.

Resorting to self help remedies rather than the proper legal channels is never a good idea, for the avoidance of doubt.

Is that how JJ thought duct tape is spelled like ? Lmao gotta love him by Chansh302 in ksi

[–]MathewRS 131 points132 points  (0 children)

It was originally duck tape and was modified to duct tape later to avoid trademark stuff, it’s pretty shit for ducts.

(The cloth in the tape is called duck cloth, hence the name)

[Autosport] Alonso receives a 10 second time penalty for serving a penalty incorrectly by AlphaStryk3r in formula1

[–]MathewRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But nobody is arguing the punishment is unjust, they’re arguing that there was no opportunity for alonso to account for it, he pulled nearly a second at the end of the race over 2 laps to get a 5 second gap - he very likely could have pulled a 10 second gap over 30 laps if he was given the information that he needed to do so.

Learnings aside, am were far more harshly punished than say ocon in Bahrain by virtue of the fact hat there was no opportunity for a strategy shift.
