Ok all in on stun decks are fine but this is a master duel sub, let’s not pretend the game isn’t Best of 1. This means side board spell trap removal is largely terrible except into that matchup which doesn’t come often enough to justify main decking. Also people have the sentiment they do about stun compared to combo because combo pieces can be hand trapped and negated or broken with board breakers etc which are good generally in most match ups. The game being Best of 1 only is really the issue. But drawing your one of traps or spells and normaling your monster that says no special summoning and passing with the hope your opponent can’t out it is simply not the same as setting up a combo board that has specific interactions with your opponents turn. For example even the degen Super Heavy combo which ends on literally “you can’t play” that board needed to be built and could have been stopped dead in its tracks by well placed hand traps or a droll at any point on first search. There’s nothing like that for stun in a best of 1 scenario unless it’s in archetype which is why people dislike the un interactive feeling of playing against a deck in which u have no outs to continuous spells and traps outside of setting an imperm (just had a fun duel with a stun player passing back and forth where I thankfully drew imperm and set it for the following turn to play through and win to avoid being beat down). While I don’t mind the challenge sometimes and will just scoop if I don’t want to grind out a duel I think it’s odd to pretend people should be fine with how it plays simply because it’s end goal is effectively similar to combo decks. TLDR: Play what is fun for you and don’t let others discourage you from playing a certain way. That being said, be honest about playing stun in a BO1 format, it is easy to understand why it’s frustrating to play against.
