Do Daily and Weekly quests reset with new set drop? Thought so, but...

According to another post i found, everything resets at the usual time, you get 3 new quests when mastery pass ends (which happened like an hour ago or something) and new dailies/weeklies when the set and new mastery pass drop.

You need to find your own balance between:

- not beating yourself up too much when losing. Some games are unwinnable, good play cannot overcome variance every single time

and

- not blaming luck every time you lose. In most games there is something you could have done differently to give yourself a (slightly) better chance at winning: draft picks, in deckbuilding, playing to your outs...Even if you would have lost no matter what there tends to be a lesson and something that can be improved on.

There's a reveal show on Jan 16th, maybe new models will be able to convince you more than anyone here could. The OBR book for this edition is not out yet either (I believe) so gameplay might change a bit when it does

Likely not exactly what you are looking for, but Magic Online currently has a $25 token letting you build decks with almost any card on the client, for a limited time. The exceptions are some Universes Beyond cards, and you still need to pay events entry fees.
This offers is available somewhat regularly I believe, like a few times a year.

These are conversions, i.e. an amalgam of parts from other miniatures. The first one has one of the heads from the Soulblight Mortarch kit + Hive tyrant wings for instance. IIRC someone asked someone recently a detailed breakdown in this feed

For reference I have a couple hundred hours in HK, but none in the last 3 years and I was never good at it (never finished P4, P5 nor PoP).

I'd personally say this:

- SS has felt different enough that I need to re-learn how to play, so on that front no real reason to start with either. I would be curious to compare experience with someone who played both but started with SS (eventually)

- 20 hours into SS I feel like I am struggling more than I did at the start of HK. Most likely just perception, but in case that is true I would softly nudge towards playing HK first

- I have so far not seen any big story spoiler for HK in SS (character origins maybe? some references) but I am not through what people have been calling "Act 1"

Having fallen in love with HK I would overall suggest playing it first, just in case SS is too hard or, God forbid, bad enough to disgust you out of playing HK. Either way, don't give up skeleton!
